I have tried since Feb to get my brother who I am the guardian for to be removed from SNAP. As of today he has almost a 900.00 balance. I’ve sent guardianship paperwork in. I’ve spoken each month to someone who say I can’t do anything about this. He has been residing in a nursing facility so he gets feed in a regular basis and no longer needs food stamps. What a waste of money. But again it’s the government making good decisions for everyone. He buys junk food with them.. what does it take to get him off snap he doesn’t need it.

Not a single one of these so call social workers care at all about a lot of parents here they tell the courts something totally different then what happen and if u try to have feelings or try defending yourself rather then having them make u look bad for nun u get in trouble but we the parents in this for our children but we can’t even respectfully visit without them just bring up the smallest thing o she fell once was said up in court like they tryna make things that are so small big I barely had alone visits with my daughter literally 3 months ago I had to tell my lawyer everything they lying about but for what a bigger paycheck and a lot of people at least in Sandusky county is mainly sayin the same thing and says they can do a lot more then a packet y’all just don’t care don’t know how many time my case worker tried to make me leave my baby mom like that’s any of her business ik ima get in trouble for this but it’s the truth and it’ll never be told by them there ok to lie nun happens when they lie in court

Disclamer: I have never been behind or late with my child support. They've tried withholding money from me when I was a minor because of similar names.

Child support office only accepts phone calls Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If they are busy when you call those days, it will disconnect you so that you can call again. It even states that it the opening recording options! If that doesn't show you how big of a joke they are I don't know what will.

But wait there's more!

Over 4 months ago I received a letter from child support that was illegible.
I called them asking what it was. It was a withholding order for my part time seasonal job that I've had for 19 years. It was already factored into the original child support order 15 years ago. They stated any time you start a new job they automatically start taking out child support. After a brief conversation they realized they made a mistake and told me they'd send a stop withholding letter. They either didn't send it or my employer didn't receive it. Either way I do not get this several thousands of dollars back. It's just considered I'm just paid ahead. And they'll figure it out when my son turns 18.

The place feels like a prison. I took my friend here to help him transfer benefits to erie county. in addition to being so slow with mail, the staff is rude and it feels like they are always trying to stick a knife in your back in general.
