Quite a nice experience. Food was decent could be better but for a Science Camp I expected not much more. The hikes were long and great for those starting out. The health office, nurses, cabin leaders, etc did their best in making a good time for children. However there was a karen so look out for that. Anywho definitely would recommend to those still thinking about going!

I think i went here in the mid 1980's? I looks like the same bunks and grand stage area and terrain. Someone in the reviews mentioned banana slug song, which they sang in the mid 80's. I stayed in a cabin named Seahorse II, i wonder if its still there

I just got back from science camp today!! It was amazing and great, I had a great time hiking and seeing the tide poles (even though I almost fell lol) principal narwal was amazing! I love all the songs, such as the banana slug song and others. The food is AMAZING!!!! Although the showers are really cold, and there was a spider in the shower w// me. So I didn’t like that, overall it was really fun especially the solo hike, and being in a cabin with my friends. Leaving was pretty hard, I enjoyed going/being on the bus w/ my bsf. We were laughing so much. Even taking silly pictures together!! Madrone and sea star are great naturalist. I think this site is amazing. I had so much fun and I will totally have lots of great memories here. -Kiana/Star

so. i had an amazing experience.. while i was eating chocolate kisses from my teacher or sleeping in my bed for like 2 hours before honey bee ? me to wake us up with a mean look, attitude and all of the above. but otherwise it was….. a.. what’s that word? horrible terrible no good very bad experience..my friend will byers (missed his friend mike and didn’t let mike come bc we was to busy with el) was sick and HATED the cough drops. and he told me that with his very own words, mouth, voice, throat, lungs and oxygen. wait no never mind , no oxygen bc he was SICK but the nurse had to sleep in 30 more minutes (sleepyhead) but also honeybee made that up bc my friend from another cabin saw him at 3 am. what loyalty!. the nurse was pretty nice except for that. the cough drops worked even though they tastes a bit goofy . def recommend him at the local hospital. i had a headache and he didn’t give me an ice pack!! ?‍♂️ actually the pound cake was good but man that ravioli <<< ? also i only got to shower ONCE out of three days and by time i did shower on the FIRST. DAY. the water was cold. as. ice. ❄️the story about our cabin leaders being FaMoUs was very.. sus. s-u-s, sus. but our cabin leader ladybug is so slay girlboss OH one last thing is that a boy was at our period talk.. AwKwArD and the hopper didn’t get to eat very much after each meal. my good friend dustin was starving once we got to the cabin . wish you luck with your improvements ?

It is a place for students to get in tune with nature and explore the beauty of California. Students are asked to think outside the box, work collaboratively, and all while having a blast. Science and ecology are integrated into everything from skits to singing, art, projects, challenges, and more. All await you as you step outdoors.

Each class I take there falls in love with the place! They love the naturalists, the counselors, and the entire staff. They are well-organized, environmentally conscious, and just all around great at what they do. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation. PS-Food is good and there’s even a salad bar and dessert every night, and s’mores on campfire night, and did I mention the ropes course, star gazing, night hike, Wishing Tree, ok that’s enough! It’s awesome! ☀️
