My daughter was enrolled here for only 2 months and it was not a good experience. We ended up having to transfer her to another school. The positives are the principal is very nice and helpful and the teachers are dedicated and caring. However, it isn't set up to help kids who are advanced and lacks resources for programs like music, art and foreign language. While here, my daughter was repeatedly bullied. We have never had that experience before and it just wasn't stopping, no matter what we did. My daughter would call me from school almost daily complaining of a stomach ache. We finally figured out it was stress and anxiety from being at the school. Additionally, my daughter was extremely bored. While they are supposed to have individualized curriculum, when she was done with her work, there was nothing else for her to do to keep her engaged. Since switching schools, my daughter is thriving and hasn't had one stomach ache.

We love this school! I enrolled my daughter here in first grade and can't immagine her going anywhere else. We come from a troubled elementary school district where we felt she wasn't reaching her potential. Here she is challenged everyday. She loves coming to school even though she has to get up extra early to ride the school bus.
Her teachers have always been great and understanding of our family's situation. The front staff have always answered my questions and any concerns I may have. My daughter has unfortunately been bullied by three different students in the three years she's been here but everything has allways been resolved right away. I recomend this school often.

I love love love my children’s school! The attention and care the staff provides is unparalleled. I whole heartedly Believe the children are our future and I am trusting my children’s future in the hands of the incredible teaching and admin staff at Self Development Academy, Phoenix location. I used to homeschool my children so I am very particular about certain things regarding their education. The principal, I am incredibly grateful to her and all of the teachers and staff that have interacted with my children to better their entire educational experience. I considered transferring him to another location because we were moving and I am glad I decided not to move my kids.

We are coming to the end of our 2nd year at Self Development Academy and it will be our last. The complete lack of communication between our son's teachers and us is unacceptable. When I want to ask questions about curriculum or assignments I have to have an appointment with the principal. Phone calls and emails directly with the teacher are against school policy? This is the only school my child has not enjoyed going to. Very disappointed in a school that looked good on paper.

This is one of the Beautiful, caring school and kids loves to go to this school. The teachers are really helpfull and very friendly at this place. I recommend to other parents you should be part of this school sending ur kids to it.

I am a student at this school and this is by far one of the best schools i have attended. The teachers,staff and principal are literally the greatest. They always welcome me with a big smile and treat me with respect and care . The 4 years of being here i have improved drastically . They have taught me so much and i dont regret ever stepping a foot at this school.

This school is a great opportunity for area students. The staff is very caring and dedicated to providing a quality education for all students. The school offers many special courses like art, music, and PE. The school offers a catered breakfast before school and a catered lunch during school. I feel the staff is very receptive to parents and students.

WORST school ever. My child was getting bullied and instead she got in trouble. Her teacher was okay but the office staff were terrible. I specifically asked before enrolling my daughter, who has adhd tendencies, if it was a good fit for her and they ensured me that she would do great. And then they basically said she was too much to deal with. I took her over to Longview Elemtary and shes been fine since.
