I absolutely love this rescue and the owners!!! They save horses and humans alike! They put the horses first. Their horses are loved and cared for like royalty. They go above and beyond to save these animals from horrible fates, I’ve seen them up at all hours of the night nursing them back to health, not to mention all the hours they donate to helping veterans and children! They give these horses beautiful lives healing humans. I am in awe of the wonderful work they do everyday. You will not find anyone with more compassion, devotion, honesty or integrity than these people! I adore and love them like family, they are truly saviors!

I have had the privilege of knowing Allen and Cherina of Serenity Saviours for the past two years now. You would not never meet two people more dedicated then them to the well being of all animals. Horses,donkeys, goats, dogs, cats.. You name it. They have dedicated their lives to these precious animals over and over all of these years. They have shown nothing but compassion for these animals and people over the years. On a personal and professional level. I have sent a horse there to be with them and I have donated and contributed to many animals that they also take care of and home. Serenity Saviors Equine Rescue & Therapy Center is one of the good ones. The love and care they give to the horses is matched only by the people they help in the process. From grouchy old veterans like me to the young children, they find a way and a place for all. No act of kindness is too small and no act of love is ever too big.

Serenity Saviors is an exceptional non-profit horse rescue run by Cherina and Allen. There are some available adoptable horses, but all of the horses are given lifetime loving care if they cannot be adopted. Serenity Saviors is a most worthy charity that gratefully receives donations via a link on their website.
I am an owner of several horses, and have visited Serenity, so I can recognize this rescue’s dedication and quality of care.

I have known Cherina and Allen, for about 5 years. I've had the experience of working with them and with the horses they have rescued.

In the last year I have seen several horses near death that they have rescued and brought back to life. One in particular by the name of Diego.

It took more than six weeks of feeding this horse Alfalfa soup everyday before he could consume Whole Food. Cherina made this concoction herself all day and into the night so that this horse could survive. He has and now flourishes and plays where once he could barely stand.

I watched them do the same with a horse that self mutilates called Jazzy who came to them with several spots, including a hind leg so swollen that it was almost impossible for the horse to walk.

While Jazzy is still a challenge when he gets bored he is treated and loved as one of their forever horses, that is not up for adoption due to the care he needs constantly which they provide.

Not only do they rescue horses, but children who volunteer are frequently given lessons on riding for free along with therapy programs for Veterans and first responders.

As an equine specialist, I have been in many barns that have rescues, the horses are severely neglected, and in an old saying, rode hard and put away wet. They bite, kick or are unruly. The horses that they have are sweet and have manners, that seldom have I needed to be concerned about the safety of my clients.

I recommend their facility as a great facility for riding or therapy for kids or adults. We look forward to working with them as they improve and grow in their new location.

I have nothing to say but great things about this Rescue/Therapy center, Their past rescue horse Diego came from a kill pen and was in poor conditions, Cherina (the owner) put her heart and soul and dedication to help this poor horse. Several nights, of 24/7 watches and feedings for 7 weeks straight!! Without the hard work that Cherina has put into Diego, Nursing him back to heath, Diego’s life would have been on the line, but knowing this woman she has a heart for animals and was not gonna let that happen, Diego came very sick and weak when he arrived (I was there), He could barely get of the trailer, Diego then got rinsed and Cherina and I both saw that he had maggots in his pastern and fetlock, He was deathly skinny and smelled really bad, After a couple months he went down and couldn’t get back up!! Cherina called the vet out and he had to be strapped up for a while so that he could stand up, He made it through the entire process of getting back to good health and was able to stand on his own with all the treatments that Cherina got him. Now this little throw away kill pen pony lives a happy healthy life and can live out the rest of his years at a safe place!! I was previously one of their staff members (not a volunteer) working very long days with Cherina helping with stalls, feedings and lessons. I know the exact times that everything took place during the day and that all the horses were fed, In fact here are the times, Morning feedings started at 7:30 am- 8:00am which included their 2 scoops of grain, 2 flakes of hay, and filling up the water, During the day lessons took place!!! Evening feedings started at 7:00pm-7:30pm which included 2 scoops of grain, 2 flakes of hay, and topping their water off. You may ask were the horses turned out? Yes, They certainly were lessons started at 9:00am and didn’t end till a little after 1:00pm that is 6 hrs of turnout for all the horses each day!! When you arrive there you can alway feel very welcomed by the faces that greet you everyday on the property which would be Cherina and Allen (The owners of the loving Serenity Saviors Therapy and rescue center). Everything at Serenity is a family friendly environment, Everyone is on top of thing especially all the staff!!! Cherina and Allen go above and beyond and fund 99% of everything out of their own pockets. The animals ALWAYS come first,They’re very strict about where they place adopted horses, great learning experiences there for all ages. They love kids and have a special place in their hearts for veterans and those at risk and in the foster care system. They have worked with special needs individuals & groups, human trafficking survivors, inner city youths, and religious organizations! Cherina and Allen you have helped so many lives not only the animals but with the people of the community, keep up the great work saving lives of those who were thrown away in kill pens, and continue the great work you do not only for the animals but for the people as well!

From the first time I followed them online to my recent in-person visit a few days ago, I have always seen the unwavering love and passion Allen and Cherina have for the horses and donkeys they save and care for. I call them "The Animal Saviors" because they go the extra mile to care for the animals they love so much. They work extra jobs, they teach riding and driving lessons, they sacrifice what most of just take for granted, and they simply never stop working! They put everything they have into their mission. I am utterly amazed at their dedication and drive. They are very kind, giving, loving people who will give the shirts off their backs for someone in need.

I am extremely disappointed in the way that a certain (small) group of people are treating them online and in person. Allen and Cherina are being stalked, harassed, false Sheriff reports (4 times to date)made, and the properties where they are temporarily keeping their horses are being trespassed upon repeatedly. These lowlifes "take pictures at angles to intentionally make the horses look underweight, but we are onto them" per the Pasco County Sheriffs Office. Every single time there has been a FALSE allegation of abuse, the Pasco or Hernando County Sheriffs inspect the properties and horses and rule the allegations UNFOUNDED. They have all spontaneously OFFERED to testify on behalf of Allen and Cherina as to their care. Their vet, trainer, body work specialist, PhD psychologist, and other experienced equine professionals all have written glowing reports on their care, as they have also seen first hand their commitment to caring for their animals. It is unreal what levels these losers will sink to! Instead of helping them care for the animals by donating money or items they need, or paying for feed and grain at their feed store, they stalk, bash and harass them ruthlessly (both personally and professionally).

Allen and Cherina may have had some financial challenges in the past (who hasn't?), but will NEVER, EVER eat before the horses and donkeys are fed. They are in a temporary living situation 100% BECAUSE this small group of haters ganged up on them and lied to not only the public about them, but also the people who purchased their farm when Allen and Cherina needed a helping hand. These despicable bottom feeders want to take Serenity's horses under the guise of Allen and Cherina neglecting them. This is the furthest thing from the truth! Allen, Cherina and Serenity Saviors will always have my support and should definitely have yours as well! ~ Nida
