My three children attended The Montessori School and we love the school, from Toddlers through Middle School. The teachers are amazing: highly trained and so caring. The school community is warm and fun. This school not only gave my children an excellent education and friends for life; it made me a better parent. Just go observe a classroom. You can see for yourself what capable, joyful and independent every child is with an authentic Montessori education and a warm and welcoming community. It is exactly what I wanted for my children and joining The Montessori School was the greatest gift I ever gave my children, and our family.

This was a great school for our 2 sons and our family. And still today they do a terrific job implementing the Montessori method of teaching by honoring each individual child. The Montessori method provides freedom within limits for the students, which I believe instills an ownership of the students' learning that prepares them better for their future work place. Discover Montessori for yourself by visiting this school. Not all Montessori schools are the same and this is the best.

Our three children attend The Montessori School and our more than 5 years of involvement with the school has led us to conclude that this environment is uniquely positioned to prepare our children for success in life from an intellectual, emotional and social perspective. The opportunity for each child to effectively customize his/her daily academic pursuits along with the multi-age demographic of each class that fosters mentor/mentee connections is unique to a Montessori education, which is supported by a group of accomplished and experienced faculty and administrators that all have a deep connection to the Montessori teaching method. Traditional teaching methods are increasingly converging with the Montessori approach and we believe that our children are well positioned to prosper given their immersion in this pedagogy throughout their formative years of development.

The Montessori School in Wilton is a place of education, connection, peace and collective care for our young citizens of the planet! I am so glad my son is attending. The school faculty has been wonderful and each member of the staff demonstrates equal concern for all the children from toddler to Upper Elementary. I feel my son, age 6, is an environment that is safe, stimulating, caring and supportive of not only his education but also his personal development. Highly recommend if you are looking for an alternative to public school, visit for one of their information sessions.

Since the first acquaintance with The Montessori School and it's staff at the open house four years ago I can not stop to be impressed with the level of professionalism, knowledge and dedication every member of the faculty brings to work every single day. This attitude is evident in my daughter's development since starting at the school. Would highly recommend to anyone deciding on where to educate their child!

My children are long gone from The Montessori School, but its legacy lives on in how they view the world. It was a transformative experience for our entire family. We expected an education but received a community of like-minded children and parents. While they left in 6th grade with measurable academic skills and successes, it is the "soft" life skills that are the most enduring. Even after more than two decades, I remain actively involved with the school and the friends I made there. It is an "Education for Life."

We have been converts of this school and the Montessori method for the past 8 years, for both of our kids. We strongly believe that it teaches them the skills needed in the new century, and is much more advanced than traditional forms of education. Taking the pedagogy, and combining it with highly qualified and dedicated board, experienced administration team, and a passionate board of directors consisting of current and former parents results in an amazing experience for all involved.

This is a truly special place. My 3 year old twins started in the infant class, then went to Toddler, and began Primary (pre-school) in September 2019. Honestly, as a new mom, I had no idea what kind of expectation I could or should have for early education. The Montessori School shocked me with what I could expect of an "out-of-home" environment - it truly raises the bar. The investment every teacher puts into each child is amazing, the setting is so peaceful, and my kids are thrilled to go to school and do their "work" every day.

The teachers are also highly educated (degrees in education and special certification in Montessori).

There are 2 Toddler classes with about 10-13 students and 3 primary classes with about 15-25 students. There are also Lower and Upper Elementary levels which go through 6th grade. Each class has a Head Instructor and an Assistant.

I'd encourage every parent to visit and observe a classroom - it's incredible to see such young children being so independent, and the teachers and environment are purpose-built to encourage self-sufficiency and to engage young minds.
