I attended this school and am so incredibly grateful for the knowledge and experience shared with me by Dr. Barnes. She cares deeply about the practice, not only the anatomy of healing but also caring for our fellow human. For anyone considering entering massage therapy as a career, I would highly recommend attending SHI. The work is vigorous but absolutely worth it in the end, as I felt completely capable as a medical massage therapist immediately after graduating her program. Best massage school in Ohio. Sharon Barnes founded the school in 1980 and still teaches there. Her approach integrates pelvic stabilization, craniosacral therapy and swedish massage in a matter-of-fact, down-to-earth, gentle manual therapy that brings about.healing and wellness, largely by tapping into the body's innate self correcting mechanisms.
