Don't listen to the bad reviews, stay in the right crowd of people and you will do great. Plus, half of the "bad reviews" are just retards that don't know how to spell and the other half are trolls. This is a great school and i recommend...
Mr. Ulinder
Mr. Marsala
and
Mrs. Waddleton
The staff are very caring and the fighting is like any normal middle school. What can you expect, they're kids.

This is the worst school I have ever had involvement with in my life. The teachers are unaccountable, the staff is terrible and there are literally no more than a handful of people in this organization that are decent human beings. As a parent, looking out for my children can be tough and this school gives zero support in that effort. They run it like a corporation, never expecting the teachers to perform to standard other than metrics. The teachers are overpaid in my opinion and could not find work elsewhere it seems. Literally three of the teachers out of the two kids I have let go there across 5 different grade levels have even been decent. The rest are terrible....

I have been in the office there to pick up my child several times and more times than not, there has been trouble while I am standing there waiting for my child to get to the office. Parents picking up their kids from being assaulted to death threats made by other students. Weapons brought on campus, police involvement, you name it... Every parents nightmare has come true with this school and the saddest part is, I haven't even been to the office to pick up my child that many times this year, less than 6 for doctors and ortho appointments and I can't think of one time there hasn't been some sort of trouble going on there.

If you value your child's emotional state, please do yourself a favor and avoid this school like the plague. Trust me it will cost you and the child more in the long run with counseling and pshych treatment for the damage they do in the long term.

Middle school is tough, I get it but at the rate Shivela turns staff and management it is a joke to think they are in anything for the long haul. Since I have been sending my kids here there has been three different Principals, countless staff changes and all for the exact same outcome. Terrible schooling in a terrible environment with terrible staff to support it. There are too many unwatched children that go here. Kids with parents that just don't parent or have the time to do it and it shows.

The teachers are a real joke though. Most don't even have the capacity to do their job effectively and that is sad. Especially for the kids... I have talked with several of the teachers personally and am here to tell you, these people could not make a living outside of a public service job they are tenured to. These are literally the people who couldn't hack it at McDonalds yet for some reason they are allowed to care for our children. Is this what public schools have come to? Hiring whoever has the credentials? Is there no interview process? Is there no pshych eval prior to employment since they are expected to deal with kids who have minds faster and better than theirs? Only two of the six teachers my child has this year are even remotely in tune with kids at this level. If your child has any real aspirations, please do yourself a favor and do not subject them to the staff here. They will undoubtedly crush any hopes and dreams your child might have.

I pray that this review even helps one family make a strong decision on behalf of their child. Good luck and god speed

Wow. Would you take a look at this school dude. This school is great. Everyone here is great. The teachers are also great. Wow. Mr. Ruud and Mr. Gage are TRULY. The best man. Wow. What a great school. Everyone complains about the dresscode being too strict but honestly I love. I REALLY appreciate it. If I were to put this school on a scale of LAME to RADICAL. This school would DEFINITELY be a RADICAL. You can probably compare this school to those FRESH Alvin and the Chipmunks movies. That's really saying something man.

This school is very different from the other schools in the district, they actually give you a chance to choose your class. Either you wanted advance or regular or even zero period PE. I would definitely recommend this school especially if you wanted a school that really wanted to change things 🙂

"Honesty is key,"

I'm still attending here and I honestly can't give much preferences. There's so many different perspectives from people that you don't know who to believe. Some may lie, some may say something for jokes or out of spite.
For my opinion on the school overall, it's decent and I'd say it's way better compared to other middle schools. Has some perks and quirks.

#1: Drugs case
Generations come and go and there will be that one generation that ruins the whole reputation. Remember, however, that there's still the other generations that will be completely different. The rumors of drugs may be true or may not be true, but there is certain days where the policeman bring canines to sniff out for any drugs. That's one way to keep the school safe from drugs, correct? Also, those who do drugs are just ruining their lives. Try to avoid them, but tell an adult about who is doing the drugs--it'd help a ton and rid of the bad influences. Hoodlums and drug addicts here? Case solved, just report it to someone. Don't be a wimp.

#2: Bullying
For social... "Things", I'd honestly say it's not my personal favorite. In all honesty, there is bullies here. I have been bullied before. It was verbal, though-- still bad, but it's better than physical. The form that the bullying was in was gossiping and talking behind one's back; insulting. My bully was a teacher's favorite and that teacher had given off signs showing that I wasn't their favorite-- it was apparent. Now, when dealing with bullies like this, confront them head on. Not physically, but verbal. Make sure to bring some other people--preferably friends or witnesses of the action-- with you to bring proof. It helps, honestly. You're confidence is boosted with people you trust.

Let me say this, Shivela, step up your game when there's bullies.
You're doing a terrible job right now. Even if students don't say anything about bullying, staff, keep a close eye and interact with students. That's something that needs to be talked about.

#3: The education and staff
The education schedule. Something that other reviewers here talk about: the work overload. Those who used that as an insult to this school should straighten up and throw themselves back into reality. I'm going to use the same argument teachers use. The future isn't all sunshine and rainbows with no homework and you can have a joy ride of fun, it's absolute hell if you think like that. High school will most likely have more strict teachers than over here in middle school because, well, it's high school. You have to do your work and get it done. If you have a dream of becoming something great, do your work so it wouldn't get you fired.

Staffs, this is for you. You have to interact with students way more than you think. If you think just giving them small talk is enough, it isn't. Try to engage with students by talking about something they like or what they don't like and try to resolve the issue. Make sure you don't leave a student behind. Don't be bias, too. There ARE some staff here that are bias. It gets annoying, even for me. I don't even interact with staffs! I'm a pretty insecure ambrivert. I find it helpful, take Mr. Seto for example, when he mentions my name. Let me tell you something, I'm someone who gets forgotten a lot. It's amazing when a teacher actually checks up on you. It's so reassuring when someone cares for you. Please, /please/ interact with students. Don't neglect, be bias on them. If they're failing, doing bad, feeling down, just focus on what the problem is and try to resolve it!

#4: Dress code

Need I say more? It's pretty pointless since I'm a girl who just wears hoodies and jeans--occasionally dresses. Though, I do have a problem with the bra strap showing thing. That's something I'm annoyed about. Just fix that, we're good. For other girls cases, however, they complain about not wearing shorts! How ridiculous. I can't even continue this one---

Conclusion:
The school is great to be with. Don't worry. -Eighth grader, Sovitta.

I found this school scary. It was so horrific I felt sick. The students were all beat up and looked like gangsters. I saw people smoking on the border of the school I feel frightened by the this asylum of a school. NEVER PUT YOUR CHILD HERE!!!!
