This is a 1-star review for ShopRite in Milford, CT.

First of all, always check the expiration date, because they don’t.

On October 15, my spouse and I went shopping and found an entire row of expensive “fresh” pasta (Giovanni Rana) that had expired one month and a half before!

See pix, “Use fresh or freeze by 08/30/2024 - Lot # 240830116309 09:430 - 09:440, etc” An entire row of them! Nobody had checked these expensive products for 45 days!

Well, October 15 was the feast of Theresa of Avila, the best selling author in the (native, not translated) Spanish language, so it would have been interesting to celebrate it with a nice food poisoning…

Then, another problem is the lack of HR.

At peak hours, there’s a little old lady hovering around the cash registers, afflicting the employees with her incompetence and bad attitude. Instead of solving existing problems, she only creates new ones. She has no idea of what’s going on, she’s completely lost, and should take a long vacation.

Time to select better, more diverse, and more competent personnel - perhaps with the help of an external HR firm.

I've never shopped at this ShopRite before today. And I only stopped here because I was at an adjacent store. What a surprise! This ShopRite is a very nice ShopRite. It's big and very nicely kept up. Much nicer than the ShopRite in my neighborhood. I wish this ShopRite was the one in my town. Then I'd grocery shop here instead of the grocery store I shop at normally.

Woman’s bathroom is disgusting. One faucet gone, other rusty as hell. Handicap toliet has complete rust on pipes. Toliet paper all over.

Hate the fact that SR pushes you into the “must by” if you want the item. Nothing looks clean. Prices aren’t always shown.

Bottle return area disgusting. Garbage all over parking lot.

Not the same SR I utilized for years.

What makes this place so special are people like Tina (one of the cashiers). She just went the extra mile to help me find a Gingerbread house for my son. She was very kind and extremely helpful. People like her makes the world a better place.

We visited this store to purchase water and had to wait approximately 10 minutes because they refused to open another checkout lane. We also wanted to apply for a loyalty card to receive discount points on our future purchases, but the checkout attendant did not understand our request due to a language barrier.

Very clean and very large ShopRite. I did go on the worst day which is a Sunday at prime time morning when everyone was there but even with the large crowds there were no messes and everything looked really nice on the shelves. It was a little annoying that they were some workers stocking up at that time especially with so many people around it took up some room but I guess you have to do it when you have to do it so it’s understandable at the same time. As i was walking there was an employee trying to stock up but people kept asking him where certain items where and so friendly he would respond and give exactly where the items were he was sounded so pleasant it was very nice to hear how much he cared and knew his job. He actually had the right answers and was happy to help! The manager dawn is great and she is really hands on and makes and effort to keep her employees and customers happy. The female employee who bagged my items Cheryl wow! What a love! She is so spunky and quick! She was an absolute pleasure. Keep the coupons coming ShopRite and continue to give praise to your employees because they are all great and they do deserve.

This grocery store has many selections of products/produces but the employee is not trained properly on the vegetable. Today, I was charged for vegetables that I didn't buy. I was charged 2 vegetables for $2.99 each that totaled to $5.98. I only bought 1 small vegetable (bok choy) under 1 pound that costs only $1.99 a pound. It not about the money but the principal. How many of us customer to be robbed by Shoprite because of the employee mistakes. I never check my receipt but today the total payment wasn't make sense. Shoprite claimed that their prices is the best but how is it the best when you buy under a pound of vegetable that costs $1.99 a pound you ended up paying $5.98?

I had a very bad experience in this store on Sunday nov 24 th I bought a big shopping for thanksgiving from this store I had a large bucket of olives from the olive bar at the regester the man who lacked my bags neglected to put them in my bags I went to tge store the next day n explained what happened I said you can look it up on my card tge store manager told me in a rude manner I can’t just look it up we have to check the cameras to see if you really got the olives or not honestly I am not that desperate to embarrass my self be requesting the make good on the store employee mistake. the rude not so hospitable manager Xavier should take a class in customer service dose he really think someone would reall come to the store looking for a bucket of olives if they were properly put in the bag Buyers becwear don’t let their employees pack your bags because missing items will just be stolen from you as for me I will take my business to stop n shop n pack my own bags in the future happy thanksgiving hope the 12 dollars of olives was worth it to lose a good customer!
