I broke my gray water tank tire while hauling today. I needed a 36” rod cut down to 28”. The VERY friendly staff happily helped me find the rod I needed, cut it to length, and helped me pick out the drill bits necessary to finish the job at home.

I ordered vinyl flooring in December and still don't have it. I was called 2 weeks ago and told that pattern wasn't going to run until May. I picked new vinyl out after waiting four months to be told this. As of today my floor is still bare and I canceled the order. At one time it was a good place to deal with, but now if you don't mind waiting 6 months and being told nothing, then
this is the place to deal with.

Lived in Shreve for 25 years, and my family always exclusively visited SH for all our hardware, home repair, and mechanical needs. That is until 2 years ago when my significant other went in to buy some washers and bolts, and as he was comparing products to the ones he brought in his pocket to compare for size.. the owner's son profiled him then to assume he was stealing parts. Instead of calling the police, small town cowboy decided to ASSAULT HIM and pushed him against a wall threatening him for stealing. My S/O was quick to point out the misunderstanding, and was kind enough to still buy from them before he left. But he did not get an apology until he was stepping into his car and they followed him outside, surely afraid of being sued.

My biggest regret is that I did not storm in there that day. But we have not been back and will NEVER return to SH.

Never have enuf time or money to spend at this store! Employees are helpful enuf and kind too! None the less i come here because their prices are competitive and it's convenient location! I just went upstairs for the first time during my last visit & found that they have a really nice selection of household items up there, small appliances, and toys as well! Very nice!

Whatever you want, old and new, they have it. This is your old-fashioned mercantile hardware store, with drawers of loose items and helpful clerks. Don't expect to wander about without assistance as you would at a big box store. Everything is neat, clean and organized with attention to detail. Gift items are also sold here.
