I found Ryan late in the semester with three weeks until my final. I was struggling in my Linear Algebra course, I had a D. With the three weeks I saw Ryan about 6 times, more so in the beginning to go over earlier material. I finished my class with a B, thanks to Ryan.

Ryan offered a 30 minute consultation free of charge to make sure he would be a good fit for my needs. He guided me through the concepts with ease. His strong mathematical background was very evident and even when I struggled with concepts, I would get frustrated and he would not. I appreciated the time he took to assign additional problems, upon my request, in areas I struggled in. Ryan is very capable in conveying the material in a way that a student would understand. I was guided through the chapters in my book, going over each concept with examples. He made sure I understood concepts by having me work through problems that either he made up or pulled from the text. I highly recommend and will be using Side Kick Tutoring again in the future.

Got the results I needed... and fast.

Went from a failing grade to passing in 3 short weeks (it required more than weekly sessions.. but still!)

Ryan was very knowledgeable about the topics in my 300-level linear algebra course at UW.

He is a superb math tutor, I highly recommend.

I began meeting with Ryan halfway though a quick summer Calc 4 course. Meeting with him was 100% worth it. He made time to look at my materials before the tutoring sessions so our time together could be maximized. In six sessions I went from a lost student with a nearly failing grade to understanding the concepts and passing exams without a sweat. He also works well remotely, using a shared whiteboard that both he and the student can use and will share with you all the notes within minutes of the session ending.
