Great swim school. My kids love it. It would be great if every so often that someone would go through the shower stalls with a bucket of water disinfectant and rinse the shower. After a while they began to stink from the kids/people that urinate while showing

Great place for swim lessons and water time exposure. Facilities are good and warm year round. All the teachers we have encountered have been exceptional.

South Bay Aquatics provided outstanding swim classes for my toddler nephew. His Instructor, Marilyn was patient, knowledgeable, and engaging, making each lesson fun and effective. The small class sizes ensured personalized attention, and the clean, safe facilities were perfect for young children.

Thanks to the dedicated team, my nephew went from being hesitant around water to absolutely loving his swim classes. Their professionalism and care for the children were evident in every lesson. I highly recommend South Bay Aquatics for anyone looking for exceptional children swim lessons.

Fantastic swim school with incredible staff (in all areas).

My son has been with the swim school for around 6 years and loved every moment of it.

Thank you to the amazing instructors for everything.

Our kid has been going to South bay since last four years and their service levels have degraded quite a bit especially the front desk. Some tutors are good and some doesn't if you aren't lucky to continue them for long. Our kid had change in instructors may be 10-12 times now which impacted his swim style. Last Sunday (29-Jun) our kid had a makeup session supposed to be scheduled for 3-Jul. After we went there, to our surprise it was scheduled for 26-Jun (for the past date) and we went to check with the front desk. They asked us to go to a pool which already had 3 kids in the class. We had to go back n forth with them to get this clarified and the tutor had to come out to explain them that her lane already has 3 kids. Front desk service is pathetic and don't even apologize for their mistake or no courtesy shown whatsoever for this. Wonder how this even operates and we intend to take off our kid from this place as it doesn't worth it. They increased the prices every year but the quality of service is poor.

I suppose it depends on what you are after. If you want to make swim class a lifestyle, where your kid goes weekly for several years doing small basic moves incrementally at effectively a snails pace of progress, and you like doing this as an activity, I guess this place is adequate. They basically design the levels to crawl, crawl, crawl a little faster, maybe a stroke now?, no crawl some more.
If you want to wade through >7 different teachers and 5 levels before getting into a class where the kid will take his first stroke, perhaps you’ll be happy here. Who knows maybe that’s the best way to teach future competition swimmers the discipline to have all fundamentals. But if you just want your kid to be able to swim in a pool or the ocean in a few years, with some confidence and have fun, look somewhere else.

No real authoritative figure to discuss your concerns, make up lessons are never possible to schedule due to not enough slots and staff, very expensive for the quality of lessons you get, half the time it is a substitute teacher, and 4 instructor switches total in the past couple years. We have been very patient, but decided to submit our last month notice today.

Great instructors, but the front desk sucks!

So, my two girls have been swimming here for ages. Everything was cool until last week.

My 13-year-old has team training twice a week, one hour each time. I work in the car outside during her sessions. But last week, the staff suddenly decided I had to wait inside. Like, seriously? They only let a 16-year-old go in the pool solo. And get this, at other pools, it's fine if you're 12. I tried explaining I just wanted to work quietly in the car and wasn't gonna bail, but they were so rude about it.

And they're not just rude, they're mean too. Today, when my youngest was sleeping in the car, I told the older one to say I'd be right in. Then bam! They call me, all like, "Get in here ASAP!" Crazy, right?
