The booking experience to this place was HORRIBLE!! I attempted to buy a voucher, and sent them a email to confirm a flight time. They never responded to it. And then they DO NOT answer any phone calls, it goes directly to a voicemail of possibly the owner of the business of a unenthusiastic 45 year old man that’s been divorced twice, is probably so cheap he refuses to hire someone to answer phone calls. The voucher ended up getting canceled. So then I proceeded to book directly with their website that is clearly outdated and was probably done in house to once again avoid spending money. I did not get a confirmation email or message so then I proceeded to email them, as it states on their wack website. After that is was even WORSE. Customer service with BENNY was SO ANNOYING AND FRUSTRATING. Sounds like I was talking to Siri, smh. DO NOT book with them, instead book with ESSENCE FLIGHT ACADEMY. They got it together. Owner probably had a successful marriage drives a McLaren, while the owner of “South Coast Aero” is still fighting his divorce to get his 2007 corvette back.

Hidden charges, very scammy

In response to the response to the owner saying that I used a voucher that wasn't mine. Clearly they're not very smart and bad liars. I bought a voucher on Groupon and then after confirming my appointment with me they decided to add on an extra $80 charge that wasn't mentioned and then there was a cancellation fee if I tried to cancel. The redeemed the voucher anyways after I said I wouldn't take the appointment due to all the hidden fees... so they redeemed the Groupon anyways so they could charge a fee if I did not show up or if I tried to cancel. Scammers there's like extra fees if you try to cancel or extra fees if you don't show up on time or cancel within a certain period of time once the voucher is redeemed.

Crazy that you really tried to lie, no wonder you guys have such a low rating everywhere.

There was a bit of worry/ frustration with the initial response time. (Called and emailed a few times)
But I received an email and the staff was in frequent communication throughout my reservation process.

The instructions were clear on how to get here and what to do once you arrive. Our Pilot was awesome and patient with our nerves in the beginning. The entire flight was smooth and pretty relaxing.

Cancel my voucher as they have hidden fees which put them over market price including a 98 dollar facility fee. Also just like the other reviews state they only communicate via email.

Bought from Groupon. 80 dollar added on for gratuity once you get your appoint through email, isn't mentioned in the groupon but I didn't mind paying the fee; It's a business and I get it to an extent. The experience was great! Such a fun day out for my husbands bday. Was def worth the price and I'd pay again with out hesitation! We had a lady as our instructor she was great I forgot her name but she made the flight so nice and relaxing! Great personality and overall just a nice girl to experience our first flight with!! My husband loved flying the plane he wants to get his piolets license now!

Very difficult to work with these people. They will not talk to you (email only!)
Many hidden costs: $50 "Airport User" fee that other flight schools don't charge. Additional $50 fee on weekends for "better sightseeing"
My Groupon stated $129 for a discovery flight, and ended up costing $230

“BEWARE” they will try every possible way to charge extra money from you.

$65 holiday charge God knows what that is.
$50 if you carry a camera or go pro
$78.99 gratuity tax “ god knows what this is”
And there are many more..

Though I made a double booking they denied to cancel one.

I do not recommend these guys.

Take your business elsewhere. The most dysfunctional customer service. No record keeping and you CANNOT get anyone on a call. The manager Benny after not reading my email and providing me with wrong information refused to get on a call with me to provide a solution to a problem that he created! Not even a sorry, instead pointing in the direction that I was being dishonest. All through email no live contact. Unheard of in today’s customer service driven world. Very disappointing. I did not get a chance to use their services but with that kind of dysfunctional customer respect and service I wouldn’t trust them!
