Hands down…the best of the best! My then 16yo daughter continued her flight training here & at age 17, achieved her Private Pilot’s License. CFI Jeremiah was a terrific fit for her…so kind & helpful! Overall great people, super communication, incredibly knowledgeable, well maintained & safe aircraft & amazing teaching techniques. It’s not easy to put your kid in the hands of others but I couldn’t be happier. I HIGHLY recommend!!

I did my Commercial and CFI training with Speed Hunter. Jake is a phenomenal pilot with tons of real world experience. He’s fair, but also tough. Some schools will train you to pass a test. Not Jake. He will build you to be a thoroughly safe and competent pilot. At the end of the day, flying is inherently dangerous and requires rigorous training. You don’t just train how to fly, you train how to THINK. It’s truly a miracle to be able to enjoy the pleasure of aviation…. And Jake will build you diligently and safely into a pilot who can confidently enjoy the sport — recreationally or in pursuit of a career. Jake isn’t just an instructor, he’s a mentor.

I just recently completed my private pilot license with Speed Hunter Aviation. I can 100% say this is the best flight school in the Cincinnati/Dayton area. I attended two other flight schools prior to Speed Hunter, one down at Lunken and one at Butler County. I can confidently say that Speed Hunter Aviation gave me the best training for the lowest price compared to the other two. Jon was my CFI, and he was a great instructor and was very encouraging throughout the whole process. Jake, the owner of Speed Hunter, cares deeply about maintaining his fleet. His aircraft were the best maintained out of all the aircraft I've done training in. Jake is a tough instructor, but he's tough because he wants to push you to become a safe and knowledgeable pilot. If you're thinking about becoming a pilot, I would definitely recommend Speed Hunter for the lowest price and best quality training. They aren't out to get you like some other flight schools are, and instead they are in the business of shaping you into a safe and competent pilot.

I completed my Private Pilot's License with Speed Hunter Aviation in October. Ed, my instructor, was awesome. He has thousands of hours of flight experience and is a great teacher. Jake maintains the plane extremely well. He's very particular about making sure it's in perfect flying condition. While working a full time job, I was able to get my PPL in less than 6 months because of Speed Hunter Aviation. I always recommend them to future pilots.

Speed Hunter Aviation is an amazing flight school - probably one of the best in the area - and Jake is an incredible instructor, I could not have achieved my PPL without him! Jake has decades of experience in many different aircraft and always prioritizes safety and real world training in every lesson. He is both knowledgeable and fun, which makes every flight a great experience. He is very patient and encouraging - but will call you out when he knows you're not giving your best. All the tools and knowledge you’ll need to meet whatever goal you set for yourself can be found here. The prep from first flight to check ride was amazing. The planes are very well maintained and down time is minimal. They will help you every step of the way. Can’t say enough about my experience getting my pilots license.
