Recently visited Kodiak Island in Alaska and fell in love with it. Visited the St. Herman Theological Seminary Chapel inside and out, as well as the Russian Orthodox Church. If you like icons, this will be heaven for you. So much beautiful artwork, it is worth a visit even if you are not a religious person. Spend time exploring the village. It was a great experience for me.

I was in the seminary building when I learned of Met Jonah's election,, having spent a month at St Michaels Skete on Spruce Island. By Fr Tucker's intersession, who I have known for 20 years, I was offered a room at the seminary for a few days. It was a joyous day for many. I ate my meals at Monk's Rock Cafe and McDonalds. The normal monastic services are quite moving. The mystery of the constant cycles of prayer shows It's fruits here, dispite our unworthyness. Their hours were comforting and do uplift dispite ourselves. The OCA is in dire straits, with spiritual corruption in high places and fierce men not sparing the flock having entered is apparently the situation confronting it. This Word is Absolute Moral Authority of Jesus Christ, Love the Lord thy God, and serve Him alone. Live by His Word and by bread, Do not tempt God. Obey this Vision spoken by the Christ to address the conflict
of evil and the Only Good One, the Father.
