Both my children attended St Ives Tutoring from Yr7-Yr11 to support their maths and science studies. I am certain they would not have achieved their GCSE results without the support Andrew and Gill provided. The team there are friendly, welcoming, kind and patient. They not only build knowledge but get to know the children, this enables them to provide very tailored support in line with each individual’s learning style. They have fantastic knowledge of the curriculum and regularly helped to recap topics learned in the week that hadn’t quite clicked. My son and daughter had very different needs, but both thrived under Andrew and Gill’s tutoring. They supported my son in getting a much deeper understanding of more complex maths enabling him to go on to study at A Level. With my daughter they built her knowledge and confidence to believe she could achieve great grades in maths and science, which she did. My daughter, a self proclaimed hater of maths, admitted at the end of year 11 she was ‘actually going to miss her maths tutoring sessions’, there is no higher praise possible than this!

My family have used this study centre for 10 years now and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of teaching provided. Unlike other tutor centres, St Ives Tutoring Centre will offer tuition specific to your child's needs for example, help with homework, GCSE preparation or extension work. They work in groups of about 3/4 per teacher but are given individual support and computer based activities.

The centre is run by Andrew Baker, one of those inspirational, calm teachers we wish we had all had when we were at school! He and his team have made such a difference for both my children, even though their needs are very different.
