From my first session with Chase, one of the main tutors and founder of the company, I knew that Star Tutors was a company that I could stick with. In May of my sophomore year, I needed some help in my math class. After an hour of tutoring with Chase, we got into talking about the ACT, and I signed up on the spot for the summer ACT prep classroom.

I studied with Chase over the summer in one of the most productive classrooms I've ever been in. When I was on vacation, I was still present in the class through the usage of their Facebook live streaming features. Even when I was across the country, digitally in the classroom, I still felt like I was there because of the constant acknowledgment to their online viewers and the quick response times.

I ended up taking the September ACT and followed that up with one-on-one sessions in preparation for the subsequent October test. In October I met my target score and scored in the highest percentile of ACT testers.

In such a competitive city, tutors can be extremely expensive and impersonal. In my opinion, Star Tutors is the hidden gem of the Los Angeles (and nationwide) test prep industry. It is relatively inexpensive and the tutors will cater specifically to your needs in any way possible.

The entire team is knowledgable with not only standardized tests and academic subjects but with all things college. As a rising senior, I'm now working with them to start my applications for the fall.

Junior and senior year are some of the most stressful times but Star Tutors helps make the process the best it can be.
