Even though it’s called a museum, it is a full activity based location. Kids get to play and interact in all the section like playing with optics, X-ray and lights, digging fossil, dancing with laser images, shooting balls with water pressure. There’s an outdoor area as well where they can play with foam structures and liquid bubbles.

I liked that all items were working fine and well maintained. Waterproof aprons were kept available in water play area. At times associates were doing on the spot activities like coloring CDs, showing science experiments with color.

They have a large cafe with decent food options. Restrooms are clean and kids friendly. Excellent place for any kid to spend few hours.

Not sure when a children’s ’museum’ became all about the profits, but this place sure did. 2 adults and 1 9 year old was $60. We spent another $60 in the cafe getting chicken fingers, a thing of tuna, chicken salad, two watermelons and some juices. We spent MAYBE 90 minutes there (would have been shorter but we waited to hear the storytelling and see the two puppies afterward). You’re better off going down the road to the aquarium, where there’s a lot more to do. You’d pay $92.85 to our $60 here, but you’d also spend more time there.

I love stepping stones but for some reason my kiddo always gets sick after a visit. I try to use sanitizer after every activity but the activities are so hands on, and I don't see anyone cleaning them periodically. I've stopped going due to this.

We stopped here on an RV trip, so my son (5) could finally run around and touch things. Everyone had a great time. Each room was tons of fun. My son spent most of his time in the energy lab or dinosaur room. We would definitely go back.

What an amazing place for kids. This place was perfect for our 2 and 4 year old. The water area is perfect where kids can just the right amount of wet playing with different “energy sources”. The building area was great and the kids emotions area was really well thought out for real engagement with the kids. There was a huge arts and crafts area that was stocked with great activities. Highly recommend the for a least one trip with the kids.

This was our third time there and it felt very dirty today. Bathrooms and changing tables were disgusting. In addition to that, I felt very uncomfortable the way a staff member was playing with kids in area without clear vision. I witnessed him letting them push him around by his behind and a little girl sitting between his legs. Finally one of the moms told him to go back to doing whatever his job was and let the kids play. It was completely inappropriate.

This is my first time visiting here, and my child loves it. The staff are so kind, and the facilities are clean. I truly believe this is the best place in Connecticut. I lost my wallet here, and manager and Maria helped me find it. Since this is a place for children, the environment is important, but the staff is just as crucial, and everyone here is friendly and amazing. My first visit was such a great experience that my friend and I signed up for a membership. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Great place for toddlers and k1-2. Hands on fun that will keep the little ones busy for a few hours. Isn't a huge place, but jam packed with fun. The food is reasonably priced with some healthy choices.
