As a volunteer I watched Gary Nelson guide and motivate the youth that come through his program. It appears to me that he makes sure they have what they need to do the task and that they have a grasp of the basic skills necessary to do the task. Whether it’s homework or basketball. The basketball drills are given and then he allows them to practice and correct each other to a certain degree. Staff is assigned to help those in attendance that are part of the after school program to complete homework assignments assigned by their individual teachers.

I watch the enthusiasm of the parents and the youth as they interact with this man that loves what he is doing. It’s really

I recommend this program for the inner city youth ofBridgeport

There's a great zumba and boot camp class on wednesdays at 6:30 for only $10 bucks. Also they have a lot of basketball games going on. Bathrooms are clean on all floors. They offer summer camp for weekly fee (see pictures) . Seems like a great place for both adults AND kids to be active and kept busy. I believe you can rent out a room if you offer a service or class. Plenty of rooms and space available. About time we make use of these abandoned buildings!
