My wife and I have passed by this truck a few times. Every time we passed by we always said “one day, one day”. Today was that day and it was worth it. The food is great and, before you tell me anything about prices, understand that you’re not paying for the facility. You’re paying for the effort and passion that goes into cooking and preparing food from scratch. As a Chef myself I am very aware of this.

Between my wife and I we ordered the Plantains and garlic tostones. Everyone can relate to the anticipation of that first bite of warm sweet plantains. I had never tried tostones so I was really looking forward to trying them. When the magical moment came and our food was handed over, “wow!” l caught this incredible aroma of garlic wafting directly to my heart. I knew then and there that I had made the right choice.

For the Arepas we had
2 Pabellón (Shredded beef, plantains, black beans, cheese and spicy green sauce), one of them without the spicy sauce, 1 Vegan (Black beans, Avocado and plantains), and 1 Ktown (Korean pork marinated in sweet & spicy sauce, onions and cilantro).

The Ktown was my favorite however everything was great. Between the warm soft arepas, the tenderness of the meat, and the great crunch of the tostones, I have to say that I was extremely pleased and thankful that we finally pulled over.

Next time, I will be trying the chocolate con queso. I have to say the idea of it has really piqued my interest.

The original arepa was filled to the brim. Sweet plantains, cheese, and black beans. Not sure if it's quite a $9 item but it was good overall. We've heard there are better arepas elsewhere but we're still looking.

Service was fast. The atmosphere was busy.

Tried them at Smorgasburg and it was great! Definitely recommend the mozzarella cheese one and the best part was that it was gluten free!

Had the pabellon, kids had the simple mozarella- excellent.
My sandwich had just the right amount of spice, outside was crispy and delicious!
We will be back 😊

After waiting for over 40 minutes for this horrible tasting food, I literally wanted to to spit it out. Not only were the fries cold and yucca, the owner and the woman working the food truck were as equally cold hearted and offered no apologies. He literally said it you see a long line expect a long wait"! lIt is clear they have no business acumen and or customer service skills. I literally have know idea why people would form a line for such horrible tasting cold food? Perhaps because it was only one out of two food trucks at the Altadena Farmer's market and people were desperate to eat, but definitely not worth the wait.

Yesterday around 7 o clock me and my family was working at the Altadena Farmers Market and we decided to get something to eat from the food truck Susarepas we waited almost an hour for 1 order of garlic yucca fries and 2 vegan arepas. When we finally received the food after waiting almost a hour. We asked for an extra complimentary garlic yucca fries for the wait the owner there was very rude and told me sarcastically “if there’s a line you have to wait”. I believe he was dishonest because he would not look me directly in the eyes when he told me everything was sold out. The lady working was also very dismissive and rude. They were both unapologetic and showed no compassion for the customers time and long wait. It was our first time eating there, the food was cold and bland wasn’t worth the long wait or the money spent and we will NEVER eat there again. The moral of the story is don’t spend your money with people who aren’t kind. I recommend that this owner reads the “go giver”.

Never heard of this place, just stumbled on it, didn’t know what an arepes was but oh my...amazing! The food is incredible! I will be seeking this food truck out in LA! The KTown was a perfect blend of sweet and sour and savory and spice, not overly greasy either. The yucca fries to die for, can’t wait to try the other menu items.

Purchased 3 arepas at 8.00, an empanada at 2.50 , a water and dite coca and was charged $39,00. I asked for a receipt and I was told they didn't have any. I paid with 100,00 but I wasn't aware I was over charged until my mom counted her change in the car. That really sucks!!!
