I went to ask for help since I just moved to the county and my worker from the previous county didn't call me back to update my information. I wanted to see if they were able to help me rush the process and they told me I had 2 options. Start a new application (which takes several days to complete or get re approved) or call my worker or county to get them to transfer my profile or info to Sutter County so I did and I hope in less than a month everything will be completed. Thank you!

Not every social worker there is rude but the majority of them are very unprofessional and speak to the people in a disgusting manner. Seems like they dont care about helping others. They need to learn better communication skills if they are going to be working for the county. Awful place and awful employees. If I could, I would give this place zero stars. They seem miserable and angry especially when speaking to you over the phone. Worst experience ever. Hope these workers have a change of attitude.

They don't care about people, making people wait forever just to to tell them that their appointment will be another day. There were like three workers in the back and even with that it took them forever to call us in, just to tell us when our appointment would be. They made us bring our dependent person just to pick up a piece of paper, like tell the people that the actual interview isn't on that day and that you don't need to bring anyone just to schedule an appointment. Ridiculous!

There are some good people when you walk in but when you're on the phone it's like there angery or something or you just called to inconvenience them when it their job to answer the phone cuz it takes forever for someone to pick up the phone I've been on wait for 20 minutes crazy.

Staff is great even though they have heavy caseloads and demanding hard to serve clientele they are efficient courteous and polite. All they want to do is help people and they do so to the best of their ability! Welfare isnt about handouts because that just encourages a hand out the next month and the next. They are there to help people become self sufficient but with limited workers and difficult government rules they can only do so much. Ive worked hard all my life but i am grateful for these services to help people get back on their feet.

Worst customer service I've ever had in my life. These girls have no idea what they're doing. They can't even file paperwork right on the computer and because of that I was delayed benefits. Then they canceled my benefits because they didn't know what they were doing and I wasn't able to pay my bills on time. For people who are supposed to help you they sure do the opposite. They shouldn't work there if they have something against people getting help. Absolutely horrible.

I feel that the staff here work towards recognizing food as a human right. I realize I was lacking the presence necessary for picking a health plan. Still, they call me to come in and pick one, all the time. Also very much appreciate the staff keeping it real on the paper work. In spite of my residence being listed as bushes by library, they treated me as human.

Workers are untimely, unhelpful, rude and completely inept. I've already had to file complaint against one worker, now I have two more to do. It's July and I still haven't gotten my child care check from May, ridiculous!
