My kids started attending classes this past winter. They have really enjoyed it. Greg is a wonderful instructor who is patient, encouraging and positive with the kids. Everyone is welcoming and supportive. My kids are learning a lot and look forward to the classes. I highly recommend Shetucket Valley Martial Arts!

Whether you’re looking to learn to hit people with the world for the first time, or just getting back into it after a long layoff, this is probably the place for you. Super knowledgeable instruction, from a coach with decades of experience across multiple disciplines. I stopped by for a little dojo-storming session, and Coach Greg promptly accepted my deathmatch challenge. After I was knotted into a messy ball of my own limbs and shame, I had a few questions and was almost overwhelmed at the depth of detail I was provided. I also noticed something about the facility from my new home in the nether realm. This place is CLEAN. Really clean. Super important for a dojo where you spend some time on the ground. The fees are also really reasonable, less than half of what most places charge. All kidding aside, it’s a really welcoming environment for anyone who wants to improve themselves through martial arts. Tall or small, beginner or expert, you can still learn something here.

Amazing experience. Every class i feel i have a better understanding of the art walking out the doors at the end of the class. Great for all ages. It's never too soon or too late to start learning, and this is the perfect atmosphere learn and grow.
