My children have been attending Math tutoring at Sylvan learning for over a year now. Not only have their grades improved, but I’ve seen their confidence grow, which has been amazing to see. My daughter and I absolutely love Sylvan! This is the second time we have been at this facility and both times I have seen an improvement in my daughters work at school. When we first started Sylvan, my daughter was struggling with math and lacked confidence. Since she started, her confidence and yearning to learn as improved so much. She is okay with making mistakes and learning from them. The whole team is so nice and welcoming and has been so open with working with our schedules. All this is why we came back and why we will continue to come to this Sylvan. I am thankful for everyone my daughter and I have come in contact with at this facility.

My son had done SAT preps with another group were he mainly completed worksheet after worksheet and then checked the answers. At Sylvan Learning of Alexandria, the tutors explained him the rationale for the answers and provided strategies for test taking. His score improved by 120 points. Not only am I satisfy for the results but I was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and caring nature of the staff. I highly recommend this center.

We have really enjoyed this place for our daughter. It has been the extra reinforcement that our daughter has needed to assist with her learning to read. It is a comforting and nice environment and provides ample space for parents or caretakers while they wait. We could not be happier with Sylvan.

Sylvan in Alexandria, VA had been incredibly friendly, accepting, and accommodating since we joined in June 2024. We originally went in for writing tutoring and were offered sessions for a summer STEM camp. Both of my children adored the camp and camp counselors. They were very accepting and understanding of the needs my child with ADHD has. One of my children attends 3 times a week for writing development and school skills. We have seen an improvement already in her confidence and willingness to write.

We have been at Sylvan Learning Center Alexandria for 4 months and have seen our child soar 3 grade levels in Math. Their customer service is on point as well! They are VERY accommodating. They actually wished me well after surgery. This place is worth every (expensive 😁) penny thus far. I'm excited to see how far my son will go with his Math tutoring. Our family recommends this location. We drive from Upper Marlboro Maryland 3-4 times a week. They make the drive worth it! My son is more confident with Math and it's pouring into other subjects as well!

We love everything about Sylvan tutoring center. My son had an amazing time at their summer camp. And he looks forward to next year . Also hes more open to learning and is very comfortable and confident now.
