The staff at Sylvan Learning (Culver City) are very professional, polite and caring When you walk into their center, there’s a loving and friendly vibe . You can visibly see the support within this community. As a parent, I am reassured my child will be academically supported. Sylvan Learning does a great job with keeping up with the needs of their students, setting realistic goals for the students to achieve and monitoring their daily success. I really don't know where to start! My family and I are so thankful and pleased with Sylvan Learning of Culver City. My nephew has been with Sylvan for about a year and we have seen so many developments and improvements in his progress at home and at school. We attribute his strides in Reading and development of core math skills to the wonderful team on-site. They are always understanding, professional, helpful, and truly a pleasure to work with. My son’s experience at Sylvan has been exceptional! He is very excited to attend the tutoring sessions and he has excelled academically. We heard about the program’s success rate and we decided to send our son during the pandemic when his kindergarten class transitioned to virtual learning. I have two boys ages 10 and 7. We originally started with Sylvan in 2018 to help my older son with his reading comprehension. Our younger son was still young, but we figured that he could still benefit from Sylvan's Beginning Readers curriculum. We were very happy with the results. We re-enrolled both kids in May 2020 during the pandemic because we realized they were both not getting the benefit of personalized or consistent teacher contact instruction. Currently, they are doing Reading and Math virtually, but I love that the option is open to come in center as well. The boys love all their teachers and never complain about "Doing Sylvan". I believe Sylvan is solidifying and supporting the foundation of what they are currently learning and I see that any potential learning loss is mitigated. Ana and Becky are wonderful, well informed, and really invested in each child that comes through their doors.

We have two sons who currently attend Sylvan in Culver City. We are very impressed with the progress they have made. One thing that was helpful in the beginning was that the boys were both assessed before their sessions started. That way we knew what skills they were strong in, and what needed to be improved upon. Another thing that impressed me is that the directors reach out to their current teachers. This open communication with school is key to see if there is anything specific that Sylvan can help supplement. I also appreciate the flexibility of the Sylvan staff. For example, one of our sons was progressing rapidly through the Algebra skills, so our Sylvan hours were able to be switched to homework help. This allowed him to focus on the specific skills covered in his class. Also, if days/times need to be switched the staff is very accommodating. Finally, the monthly conferences times with the directors are a good way to review schedules, make changes, and most importantly, see all the great progress our boys are making. Thank you Sylvan! We are very happy to be a part of your learning center.

My son has attended Sylvan in Culver City, on and off for about 2 years. We are pleased with with the progress he has made in math. Initially he had some challenges with math, however, since he’s had that extra support he is more confident in his abilities and even says that. math is his favorite subject! I am so thankful that I found a place that is professional and specialized in assisting students in further developing the skills needed to be successful in school. I also greatly appreciate the monthly conferences where Ana or Becky give you a detailed report of the skills your child is working on and mastered. It’s a bit pricey, however, it’s worth it.
