We enrolled our daughter at Sylvan in 2021, she was falling quite behind in 5th grade due to the virtual schooling during the "pandemic." She was struggling with her math mostly and it was causing unnecessary stress in her school life and at home. After a few weeks of research, I came across Sylvan and scheduled an assessment for her. She was drastically behind. Now the pandemic did not help this situation, but I don't think the charter school was the greatest as well. After almost a year of tutoring at Sylvan and removing her from the school environment she was in, she has finished 6th grade at a new public school going to 7th and even has made Honor Roll twice! We were so ecstatic with our results we even enrolled our son to the Sylvan reading program. He was coming out of 2nd grade and entering the 3rd grade but could not read at all, he also has some speech and comprehension weaknesses. He was at a kindergarten level based on his assessment results. And after having him in Sylvan reading program all last summer and through November of 2022, this kid is reading off the charts!!

Was this expensive? Heck yeah, but can you really put a price on your child's education? When it starts interfering with their social skills and self-confidence, there was no price I wouldn't pay! We did what we thought was the best decision and it has PAID OFF TREMENDOUSLY! They have plenty of financing options to work with you.

I want to thank all of my children's tutors throughout their time at Sylvan. We were there ALOT! Big thanks to Chris, I remember his name because my daughter just thought the world of him! Huge shout out to Darcy and McKinleigh for working with us and getting us where we needed to be! You all are truly amazing and patient human beings, and I literally can't thank you enough!

I've used Sylvan years ago to help my grandson through some test prep and study habits. It was very helpful to him. When my sister and I became guardians of my great nephew, and we saw him struggling with math, I decided to return to what I knew could help. He is enjoying learning what he missed in past classrooms. It is a positive and constructive tutoring system with individualized plans that work. It isn't inexpensive, but his future chance at success is more important than the money!
