Our 8th grader has been attending tutoring at Sylvan of Lake Mary for almost a year. This was his highest achieving school year yet. He received much needed remedial support in reading and homework help for Algebra that we just weren’t able to provide at home. William, the center’s director, made getting started easy. We really appreciated his flexibility and his quick responses when we needed to adjust our child’s schedule. We would highly recommend Sylvan of Lake Mary!

Sylvan has helped me to progress in all of my classes. They are great for helping students who may need help with a subject but are also able to help students who may just want to become better students in general. After coming to Sylvan for both homework help and SAT preparation I have come away with skills that benefit me both in the exam room as well as in any other classes I may take. They walked us through how everything works and were very polite and took their time to make sure the customized the learning plan specifically for my son. This place deserves a 100 stars. In the summer of 2022 I found out my daughter was going to be retained in the 3rd grade and I was immediately trying to find her some help over the summer. I had heard about silver learning center from family members so I went to the Sylvan learning center in Melbourne Florida explaining the situation between my daughter and how I wanted her to get help so she could essentially be promoted to the 4th grade early into the school year. The Director at Melbourne Sylvan Center basically told me that I had unrealistic goals for my child so of course I left there devastated not knowing where to begin. After speaking with my mom I decided to try Lake Mary Sylvan even though they produce the same information I wanted to see if I would get a different outlook. My initial meeting was set up with William and he provided me information from what the computer gave which was like over a 180 hours and at that point my daughter would be caught up to grade level at least. Not once did he say I understand you want your daughter to be promoted to the 4th grade but we just can't do that he told me that there was times where some students will catch on quicker and be able to use more of their skills within the time frame and there's other times where it may take students a little bit longer. Needless to say after 2 months of 6 hours per week my daughter was promoted to the 4th grade. I am forever grateful and will share my experience with anyone needing assistance and may not know where to start. Trust the process and Teachers.

Sylvan Learning Center has greatly helped me throughout my middle and high school experiences. I first came here in the 8th grade for algebra tutoring and have been coming here ever since for a variety of subjects such as math, chemistry, and even SAT prep. My math and science grades have greatly improved because of the instruction I received here, as well as my SAT scores, which went from a 600 to a 720 in math alone. The teachers are helpful and patient, giving you a lesson which feels individualized to your needs. I honestly don't know if I would have been able to take on my rigorous course load without the help of Sylvan.

Sylvan Learning of Lake Mary has had such a great influence on my academics. When I first came last year as a sophomore, I came for help in my two hardest classes: biology and algebra 2. In those classes, after I got the extra help from sylvan, my grades went from C's to A's and B's. Now I am a junior taking the SAT Prep course where they give me helpful tips and strategies for the test and my scores have already gone up from the short time I've been taking this course. Everyone at Sylvan is very friendly and helpful and it's a great place to go to if you need help in academics!
