Sylvan is my happy place. Sylvan has been such a great experience for our young student. The student/teacher ratio is perfect so there is plenty of direct care & attention throughout each session. The academic plan is paired with positive reinforcement so I witness excitement looking forward to the next visit. Gone are the days of a stigma associated with seeking out tutoring. We see Sylvan as a way to push off the summer slide in retaining what was learned the school year before and to advance our student preparing for the year to come. We look forward to utilizing the great programs Sylvan has to offer throughout our child's academic career.

Sylvan has been an amazing resource for my daughter. Covid had a major affect on my daughter’s development because she was out of school during a crucial part of her educational journey. Sylvan stepped up and stepped into the role of helping to boost her confidence and her reading fluency. As a parent, it’s so beneficial to be able to see her progress and seeing it translate once she starts school this year. I look forward to seeing how she continues to grow and excel because of the resources that Sylvan Learning Center offers.

P.S. Staff is wonderful and fully committed to seeing your child grow and apply themselves. I can’t imagine where I would be now if I had Sylvan as a resource in my life at my daughters age.

My daughter has been attending Sylvan for over a year. After a few months I didn’t notice any progression and asked if I could receive the remainder of the money that I paid in advance for her tutoring sessions, which was around $10,000. After speaking with Xandra I was informed that I was unable to receive a refund after 30 days, which I was unaware of, and how would anyone know if tutoring is working in that short amount of time. So needless to say my daughter continues to go to tutoring sessions just so I don’t forfeit my money. I would suggest anyone interested in Sylvan pay month to month and not pay ahead time like I did because you won’t be refunded if you’re unhappy with their service or your child’s progress or lack there of.

Update: Received a call in regards to this review and was told thanks for the feedback. Nothing else was done.

Very pleased with my daughter's experience at Sylvan. The staff communicates well with me, and I am impressed with how great the communication is between Sylvan and my daughters school. I have noticed great improvement in her grades and her understanding of her classroom content and is no longer falling behind in class. Her learning is catered to her individual needs. I would recommend Sylvan!
