Update - I wrote a few months ago with my review. My child finished up with Sylvan this fall & really got her math confidence back. It was a great experience for her. Sylvan at Roseville has a great team & very supportive teachers. It was close to home & affordable. I really felt the staff worked hard to help my child & modified the lessons as needed. Highly recommend!

I have had an absolutely positive experience at Sylvan of Roseville. Both my daughter and son are students there and both look forward to going to class. They think that learning is fun at Sylvan. It doesn't feel like work. But the accomplishments they have made this year are very evident.

All the staff are friendly, helpful and know who not only who you are but know your children. They take the time to get to know the kids. How they learn and what barriers they have in learning. They have a great way of giving positive feedback and constructive ways to help your child improve on skills.

I would recommend Sylvan to anyone I know. There is no hesitation when people ask me about my experience for me to encourage that they consider Sylvan for their family.

My 3 boys have attended this Sylvan for 2 years now. The scheduling is very easy and the staff is wonderful to work with. Our oldest is out of remedial math now and back in classes with his friends. Our youngest went from not reading at all to reading at his grade level. I can't say enough about how this program has helped my family with school. Homework time is tolerable now!

My 7 year old son who is in 1st grade started Sylvan in November 2019 for help with reading. We have only been here for 2 months (we go 3 times a week) and his teachers at school are already noticing his improvements, not only with his reading but with his confidence. We are very happy so far and still have many sessions to go. The best part of it all is that he enjoys going to class and earning tokens for prizes. He is learning to "save" up his tokens for larger prizes.

Adam and the staff at Sylvan in Roseville are great. My daughter attends periodically for "homework help" sessions. She does very well in school but has benefited from having the Sylvan team as a resource when needed. They build confidence in kids and leave them feeling good about themselves and their abilities.

I enrolled my daughter in June 2021 as my husband and I were concerned with gaps her education (as she was primarily distance learning for an entire academic year ).

We were also in the process of selling and purchasing a new home and moving outside the area. Before we signed and paid for anything, we inquired if moving to a different center would be a problem, and we were ensure that it wouldn’t be. We even inquire about moving to a Sylvan owned my a different franchisee. We were told that they would work with them, and I asked them to even make a note in the file as we were actively working on the move.

We paid in full for a math and reading package as it was a discounted price to do so.

The center that we wanted to transfer to was owned by a different franchise. When we approached them on the transfer, the informed us that since it is a different owner, they charged $60 per tutoring hour my daughter already received when they were charging previously a much discounted price per hour. They also charge us an additional thousand dollars for as a nonrefundable fee that was never outline previously.

I am greatly disappointed in my experience with this company. I would never recommend their services to anyone. I feel like they take advantage of parents that are trying to do the best for their children.

I escalated it up the chain as this had to be a mistake. Emmanuel, all I requested was fairness and to stand by what your staffers agreed to. You denied me that. I hope the couple thousand dollars you stole was worth it.

My middle school son went from a D in Algebra, to a B. The assessment test Sylvan of Roseville offered to my son, really pinpointed the specific skills and information he lacked. This allowed the curriculum to be tailored to his needs. The teachers were friendly, and good at explaining the process. He told me he liked going. The front office was able to be flexible to accommodate our family's schedule. Regularly scheduled conferences allowed me to be aware of his progress, and their communication with his teacher allowed this to truly supplement his school curriculum, rather than conflict with it or replace it.
