I recommend Taft college to anyone I can. Class sizes are small and easy to get into. I would highly recommend Dr Abbas J for anatomy and physiology. He goes above and beyond to make sure students understand the topics and his PowerPoints were always very detailed.

Uh, let's be clear there's no ocean here. Everything is Desert. Nothing to do in this city. The close city is 30 minutes away and it's Depends if they're not doing Construction. It will Takes longer.

The school it's self, you get your class fast due to people drop out fast.

Its a great campass, they have been doing a lot of remodeling in the last fire years and it looks amazing. It feels more open and there is a lot more parking now. The administrative staff is great but the teachers are hit or miss. Focused more on opinion sometimes than just covering the material. Overall its a great college to start with.

Had my teeth cleaned by one of my old coworkers who is now in the Hygiene program. (Amber Allen) It’s a very nice facility. The Instructors were great and Amber did a great job! Thank you

Best staff/faculty ever! I don't regret getting my AA from here; would definitely recommend this school.
But, there are not many programs/clubs to join 🤕. Also, cafeteria needs an improvement.
With the rental books program they offer, you'll surely save some money!

The court reporting program is horrible. It is not even held at Taft or regulated by Taft. NONE of the staff are licensed court reporters or have ever held a license. They are not knowledgeable in the field. They are highly unorganized and unprofessional. The program director and local court reporters claim this is one of the best programs in the nation. That is completely false and can be verified through the California Court Reporter’s Association website. This school has the lowest retention and pass rate in California.

I had a really great experience here at Taft. I learned so much and the teachers were great. I had to drop Bakersfield College because I was failing all of my classes. But, when I came to Taft, my grades went up. All A's and B's and one C 🙂 Thank you Taft College for giving me a great experience

The classes are much smaller making room for more one on one with the teachers. I transferred from Bakersfield College and I am glad I did. My grades went up, I learned more, the people are much nicer and more helpful. I have even helped some of my friends transfer over because they were struggling at BC also.
