A small, limited, but cozy little library. Perfectly fine place to stop and relax if you're on a walk around town. Librarians are friendly and helpful.

The librarians here are always helpful and polite but....
The handicap parking here is not built right and is not friendly towards persons with disabilities at all. If you are in a wheelchair you're out of luck, one cannot even open their car door in the disabled spaces. The contractor who built them did not know what they were doing.
Have had ladies from PLACER COUNTY (not library) attempt open my windows device and essentially attempt to browse through my papers without permission, facial recognition messed w/her and I watched her try to operate my device from my car. So one might discover that the real thieves around the library actually work for the county. The lady who put her hands on my belongings was brunette. So don't trust people who work for Placer County they might think they have a right to belongings that are not their own.
Have had a very unprofessional Rock & Rose landscaping slam my car and others' cars' with their projectile air blowing guns with dirt rocks and debris while using the 24/7 wifi at this library. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone they are extremely unprofessional, rude, and use illiterate Mexican nationals to perform the work and when asked to see their business licence they say they have none. The tax collector tells me they have to have one to work within Placer County. They come from Truckee, Nevada County and are horrible towards local citizens.

I am a tahoe city resident and am sure this is a nice library, but the big raised, clenched fist in the window facing the lake is not appropriate for a taxpayer funded public library. If the intention is to make everyone feel welcome, it's not working. It should be assumed in tahoe city that all are welcome(because everyone is) without putting up political statements in the window.

The librarians are super friendly. They show pride in their work environment by always having creative displays that are updated seasonally. The library is always clean and there are always new books to checkout. One of our communities best resources!

Tahoe City is a 2nd home for us and we use this library from time to time and have always enjoyed it! It is small, so the collection is also - but usually the librarians are eager to assist. However, today I received a noon text message that a book I had ordered was available for pickup, and that I had one hour to retrieve it, or I would have to wait a week due to limited library hours. I raced to get there, and the librarians were still inside, but they told me I was too late. I explained that the book was for my 9 year old son who - like most CA children, is distance learning. He needed the book for a school assignment and I could not leave him unattended with so little notice - could they please make an exception?
Nope - I could not believe that even after I explained the situation and the timing with the text message, they wouldn't help me out. Sadly, my encounter felt more like a DMV than a small town community library.

It's small and you're likely not there to check out a book. It offers a comfortable place to work or read while in Tahoe City staffed with free wifi and workstations.

The women working at the library was very friendly and she help me to print out the documents. She went out of the way to scan my documents even when the service is not available over there. I felt welcome and was very informative.
