My son has been learning from Tamim since he was in the 5th grade three years ago. One day he came home from school and he asked “Mom, can I please have a math tutor? My friend has one and I want to be better at math.” So, I got in touch with Tamim. Although being extremely busy, Tamim was eventually able to get us in.

My son loved taking Tamim’s lessons from day one. He said Tamim is not only the best math teacher he has had, but also so funny and likable that he makes math a fun subject. Tamim is sweet and respectful. He has helped our son with school work, test prep, and the SHSAT. We feel so lucky to have him as our son’s math tutor and hope he continues to help our son and many others grow in math.

Tamim has been a fantastic math tutor to my rising 8th grader. He works with kids of all ages, and he knows the school curriculums and state tests inside out. He is also team player, and he coordinated beautifully with my child's 7th grade math teacher to make sure we had all the support we needed. On top of all that, Tamim's superpower is that he believes in the ability of every kid he teaches. By drawing on his own personal experiences as a student, Tamim builds trust with the kids he helps. His empathetic but determined approach delivers results. We are now in a radically different place with math from where we started, and we cannot thank Tamim enough.

Tamim is a wonderful teacher and very good with kids. He worked with both my daughter and son on their math before. My kids are different types of learners. Tamim made adjustment to meet their needs. He understood my daughter's thought process, giving her time and nurturing her to think through the difficult process in solving the math problems. My son on the other hand is a quick learner. Tamim played lots of math games with him to help him develop interest in math. Tamim has the unique capacity of accurately assessing his student's math potential. He uses creative methods to engage the student and to make difficult math learning fun. My daughter went on to attend one of the top NYC specialized high schools. My son has just got the highest score in the latest NYS 7th grade math test with a 4.5 rating. I highly recommend Tamim.

The man has a gift ! Tamim started working with my daughter who is 14 and in 8th grade mid Feb 2022. This child hated math it was a dirty four letter word. Math was something that brought on a level of anxiety that no other course did. As we all know the impact COVID had on these kids and the interruption in learning that occurred hit hard. Math I believe was one of those subjects that the majority of kids fell behind in. So when I decided to get a tutor I was lucky very lucky to Find Tamim. My child started with Tamim in late February, she went in unwilling, hating math, no confidence and felling unaccomplished. I have to tell you the same kid that walked in did not walk out. That very first day her attitude was different. She came out talking about what they did and how she was able to figure problems out…well lets fast forward to the present after a few weeks not even months my child now says “I like math, I am good at it, I wish every class I took was like it was with Tamim, Guess what i did today i figured out….”. Tamim is not just a tutor he is an accomplished teacher who as I said has a gift and he has passed that gift to my daughter. I will also say an accomplished teacher is also a student and Tamim also says he learns from his students. He has no ego that I am the teacher and you are the student its a collaboration. As a parent to see your child go from complete avoidance in this subject with the I CANT DO IT attitude into a confident and capable student who now feels she has an inclination to be a great math student.
Tamim always gives you positive feed back and if there are issues he always leaves off with “we will work on that next time”. I would tell anyone that if you choose to use Tamim as your tutor you would not be by any means disappointed.
