This place is absolutely incredible. We arrived in Bishop and were in a scramble for dinner after a long travel day. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try. It was even better than we expected in every way 🙂 Not only was the food amazing and so authentic, George (owner) is the nicest and most hospitable person. He made our night so delicious, fun, and memorable. We will be going back many many times to try everything on the menu and just to hang out with George again - thank you!!

We really enjoyed our visit! Fantastic food, several free samples, and the kindest owner ever. I felt like family when I ordered and the smiles and kindness makes this place extremely special. The food was also incredible! Can't wait to go back next time we're in Bishop.

Gorge is amazingly friendly. Like all others said, food is amazing as well - even better than some I had in the San Bernardino county. Definitely will revisit in the future. Love from the little yellow car. ❤️

Headed down the mountain after a blue bird morning on the slopes and found this gem! Enchiladas hit the spot, you can choose any meat you want for them, got the barbacoa and el pastor, plus a couple of cheese. Tacos were also fire, and love the roasted onions and jalapeño that came with the plates. I didn’t get his name but the señor was very charismatic and welcoming. A proper taste of Guadalajara and all at very reasonable prices. Goes without saying, I will be back.

Came here to eat seeking an alternative to the endless pub/fast food/burger type options. This place was amazing and even if surrounded by better restaurant options it would still be the best. The food was delicious and we were greeted with little cups of warm Horchata. We got a variety of tacos and a tamale. Each were perfect. There is an authentic charm as it is a food truck in a dirt parking lot. The staff were friendly and provided quick service. Sad that we only discovered this at the end of our mammoth week. I would have absolutely driven down for this.

Drew and Brenda were so chill and make super bomb tacos and burritos. A new must stop on the way to or back from Mammoth, especially since they are open so late so you can’t miss them. Didn’t expect to find tacos that rivaled LA up in Bishop! Gotta try the tamales next time!

Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The service was amazing and the guy working there was so nice. I got a half serving and nachos and I almost couldn’t finish it! My sister got a tamal and just the single tamal was super filling and the meat was so tender. I had a bite of the flan and it was so rich and delicious. Definitely coming back!

We found this place after hiking strenuous 11miles and we hogged on some good Scrumptious delicious food, the hospitality of chef Gorge is very commendable. Must go for vegetarians who loves Mexican food. As it was my birthday he treated me with a yummy dessert. Thank you chef Gorge.. Will visit again.
