My son has been working with Jamie for only a few weeks, and in that short time, his confidence in his reading has increased, he looks forward to reading out loud, and he has improved his words per minute, comprehension, and fluency! We’ve experienced a tough school year with teachers and administrators not always giving my son the support he needs or being compassionate or empathetic to his struggles, so having someone as understanding, patient, and positive as Jamie has been such a blessing to us. We’re so grateful for The Ignited Learner and highly recommend using Jamie to assist your kids in their reading journeys!

Where do I start?! Jamie has done an outstanding job as my child’s special education teacher. Her commitment, tolerance, love and support have had a significant positive influence on my son and his educational growth.
The extra time and effort that Jamie puts in to assist my son doesn’t go unnoticed. Her innovative and interesting teaching strategies have significantly improved my son’s self confidence and love for learning.

I recommend Jamie's elite reading tutoring service because she has taken her passion, energy, talents, and her 18 years of elementary school teaching experience and prepared a service that she can offer kids and parents to provide help with reading outside of the school environment. She has expertly tailored her service to fit the variety of needs of young readers AND their parents. She made our 1st session so easy and fun: we met on Zoom; she interacted with my daughter in a fun way; she assessed her reading weaknesses and strengths without my daughter feeling she was being assessed; and then, she discussed with me the kinds of tools and materials she can provide to me. She mailed me the assessments and materials, too. I have since worked with my daughter on site words, reading passages that increase fluency, and words that strengthen her pronunciation of certain sounds she is struggling with. Yes, Jamie is my sister-in-law, but I saw her professionalism in action as she fostered a quick, effective, and fun assessment and tutoring session with my daughter. Maybe your child needs a little extra reading practice at home, or maybe your child is an advanced reader and needs higher levels of reading challenges outside of the classroom. Jamie can assess your child's needs and provide a plan for you to help your child achieve success.

Jaime is an amazing teacher! My daughter came away from the experience, not only with not only greater skills, but a belief in herself- that she can learn difficult material and have fun doing it. Before Jaime‘s help, she was frustrated and giving up. As a parent, it’s not easy to see your kids struggle and not have the tools to help them. Jaime really took the time to work with her and made reading a fun and exciting challenge. Now she asks for books!

Jamie Waddell has changed my daughter’s world! She taught her to love reading, to be proud to read aloud, and my daughter has grown so much in the time she has worked with Jamie. But for me the most important lesson she teaches is how to be a kind, fair, loving person. She loves her students as if they are her own. Thank you!!
