I was skeptical about online tutoring at first. But, after one phone call with Jessica and then one session for my son, we’ve fallen in love with The Learning Room. My kids have made so much progress in such a short amount of time. The feedback from the tutors is really helpful too. I HIGHLY recommend this company and their approach to tutoring!

My wife set up online tutoring for our kids with The Learning Room. The quality has been excellent. After every session, the tutors send a detailed update with how our kids are progressing. Our oldest needed help with math that was beyond us and he is receiving that with Mrs. Mariah! Our younger kids are strengthening math and reading skills with Mrs. Geena and she is fun and skilled with elementary kids. We appreciate The Learning Room and all the help they provide our kids.

The learning room is worth every penny. We have been working with them for almost a year for my son. We started towards the end of the school year last year. We had been discouraged by what teachers were telling us, but ultimately the school system passed him through. We started with an in person tutor because I was hesitant to have my son use a virtual tutor. How would she keep him engaged? He has a speech delay, would be be able to understand her? But after a short time in person, vs a friend who was actively using The Learning Room, we weren’t impressed. So we made the switch and my concerns were so unnecessary. Not only is Geena engaging, but she builds confidence in my son. He trust her and works hard because she has shown him how smart he is. With their help my son was identified as having a learning disability before it normally would have been detected. Their suspension lead to us getting testing. We now have an IEP, have continued to work with the wonderful team at TLR, and because they do this out of a passion for our students they support his classroom education to make sure he is getting consistence in school and in tutoring. My son was struggling before we found Jessica and her team. My son now has confidence back as we work to continue closing the cap. Jessica provided my husband and I some great information to get the process started with his school to receive additional help. Mariah is his current tutor and she is amazing. My son looks forward to his sessions. As a mom I’m very appreciative to how Mariah is so compassionate and speaks to him like he is her own. Listening to his sessions with Mariah my husband and I have learned new ways to assist him with his reading. Thank you so much Jessica for everything! The Learning Room is truly heaven sent. During her 1st grade (homeschool) year, I discovered my daughter was struggling with phonics/reading so I enrolled her in school to give her extra support. They told me shortly after that they wanted to retain her in first grade for the upcoming school year.

I rejected that suggestion and told them that wasn’t an option and I would get her 1on1 tutoring to make sure she was ready for 2nd grade. They skeptically agreed and said they would retest her right before school started (2 1/2 months away).

I searched for a tutor and after a phone interview with Jessica, I finally settled on The Learning Room. She was personable, knowledgeable, and confident that she could help my daughter reach her goals.

Working with The Learning Room two days a week, while reinforcing lessons at home, my daughter was able to grow two grade levels in reading in under 3 months!

She returned to school and was retested, to the amazement of school administration she was at 2nd grade reading level!

I am forever grateful to The Learning Room for their support and expertise, I couldn’t have done it without them!

We've loved working with The Learning Room. Jessica has been so accommodating. Ms. Geena has been phenomenal with my extremely energetic and talkative 6 year old. He's made great progress with learning to read. Ms. Kelly has just as great working with my 11 year old on math fluency. I've seen significant improvement in his confidence.

My seven year old homeschooled son has EXCELLED while working with Jessica at The Learning Room! I taught him how to read (as I did with his two older sisters) but he wasn't progressing with his grade level and was getting frustrated with spelling and reading. He and I started frictioning while doing school together each morning so I knew I needed to make a change. After working with TLR for just five short months he has improved by leaps and bounds! He is independently sounding out grade level (and above!) words and reading chapter books by his own choice. He loves working with Ms. Jessica. The Learning Room has made our homeschool year so much more fruitful.

There isn’t enough nice things to say about Jessica and Geena at The Learning Room. My son has been in tutoring with them for a few months now and I love seeing the effort they put in with him. Geena make the learning fun and knows how to get the best work from him. They also really advocated for my son and his growth as the new school year is starting. We originally started with a different tutoring company but had another friend using The Learning Room. Hearing her talk about her child’s growth prompted us to reach out to Jessica. It’s been worth every penny.
