My Mother moved into The McAuley several months ago. There is the most beautiful culture of kindness and caring from both the exceptional staff and friendly residents.

She loves the many activities she can participate in each day. They also have a wonderful library with so many interesting books to read. In addition, the meals are delicious and its so wonderful to have housekeeping services. Most importantly, my Mother feels safe there and we are so grateful for that. The McAuley is an extraordinary community, which we all highly recommend.

My Mom (88 years old) and I (63 years old) are current residents of The McAuley in West Hartford CT. With The McAuley staff, I was able to move my Mom from PA to CT, and to be supportive of her, in this wonderful residential environment. Mom has enjoyed the community, interacting with recreation, fitness, dining, spiritual, and social activities, and I am glad to have The McAuley residents and staff as part of the support network and community for her and for us. The facility is beautiful, we have a two-bedroom apartment, and The McAuley is pet friendly, so my canine companion, Grayson, lives with us as well. Thank you to The McAuley and the Trinity Healthcare communities for Senior living.

I've lived at The McAuley for three years now, and I've loved every minute. It's wonderful not to have the responsibilities of a homeowner -- and even to have most cooking and cleaning taken care of for me -- and at the same time to have the option of meaningfully participating in a welcoming, caring community. From singing to gardening to pushing for environmental sustainability to learning about history from people who have lived it to enjoying high-quality photography and music and art, there is more than enough here to keep me busy and allow me to keep on contributing for as long as I am able.

My husband and I are moving into the McAuley shortly. We visited many Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the area and chose The McAuley for a number of reasons: location, finances, services and amenities. But one of the most notable qualities is the culture of caring and friendliness. Every time we have visited, we have felt surrounded by a feeling of welcome and caring by the residents and staff. It’s a very warm and friendly place to be!

Hooray I chose the McAuley to be my new home because I’m an active Senior and they meet my criteria to take classes at St Joseph’s University and being near Elizabeth Park was a big plus. During my visit I was delighted by the friendliness of staff and residence.

If you are looking for a wonderful independent living community for an elderly parent or friend, this is a great option. The McAuley campus is in a great location adjacent to the University of St Joseph in West Hartford CT. Our 90+ year old dad lived here for about 2 years. His apartment was on the ground floor with its own little patio in the back overlooking a pretty garden. It was updated and bright and quite roomy.
The staff is wonderful. From the marketing team to the care staff we always felt welcome and we were confident that he would well taken care of if he needed help. It was the perfect option for our family and for him. Moving someone into this environment is never an easy decision. Looking back on those months he spent there, we can confidently say that we could not have been more pleased with our decision.
