We’ve been bringing our daughter to The Schoolhouse for almost a year now, and we are constantly blown away by the incredible staff and the thoughtful, engaging experiences they provide for the children. I’ve known the owner, Coleen, for years and there’s truly no one else I would trust more with my child. She was meant to do what she does and has a true gift with children. She is actively present throughout the day and the warm hugs she gives my daughter at drop off are just one example of the genuine love and attention every child receives. Every morning, the teachers greet my daughter with kindness and enthusiasm, creating an environment she truly looks forward to. She talks about her teachers constantly and is so excited to go to school each day. That’s when you know you’ve found somewhere truly special. The communication with parents is excellent and they go above and beyond to involve families in fun activities and celebrations. They keep the kids busy and happy in such a nurturing environment. We feel so blessed to be part of The Schoolhouse family and can’t recommend them enough to anyone searching for quality childcare.

We absolutely LOVE The Schoolhouse and we are so glad we decided to move our two boys there in August 2024. Ms. Coleen is wonderful. She not only creates a great learning environment for our two boys but it’s clear she creates a great environment for her staff as well. The teachers are the BEST! We have never experienced a nicer, caring, more engaged team. We have also been so impressed with the curriculum in each of the rooms. The boys are always engaged in hands on activities and have learned so much. We cannot say enough great things about Ms. Coleen and The Schoolhouse. We have recommended it to two other families so far and would recommend it to anyone looking in the area!

Nothing but good things to say about this school! We switched from another school to this one and it's been everything we hoped for and more. I don't worry about my daughter when I drop her off (coming from a mom who always worries). The staff really care and make the experience great. Communication with parents is exceptional. Facility is great, warm and inviting. Development activities always on point. Teacher schedules are perfect. They offer part time enrollment options. We've toured just about every daycare in the area and this one is the only one that checks ALL the boxes (and I have a lot of boxes on my list). I could write a novel.

Coleen, the owner of The Schoolhouse, is a fantastic leader, and it shows through the team she has built who care for our children like they are part of their family. My boys have been in their care since 3 months old and have flourished in both social development as well as educational elements but most importantly, being a good human. From exciting adventures, volunteer activities and core memories such as nurturing eggs into chickens and “being a vet” for a day at our town’s veterinary clinic - the experiences they create are nothing short of remarkable.

For me as a working mom, Coleen‘s communication, especially during times of emergency (COVID), exceeded any expectation. During a situation with little to no information was being given, they kept us informed of the school‘s procedures and changes as soon as they occurred.

These reasons and many more are why I would follow Coleen and her team at The Schoolhouse anywhere. We’re fortunate for the school to be in the heart of New Albany. Not only is she a pillar of the community, but I’m so excited to see the school become one as well.

We absolutely love The Schoolhouse of New Albany! I was really anxious about finding care for my daughter and could not be happier with the teachers and team at The Schoolhouse. We feel like family, and our daughter has learned so much already. She loves going to school to see her friends and teachers! The Schoolhouse of New Albany is more than a child care center, it's a family. That sense of family is felt the minute you're greeted walking in the door, to seeing the excitement on the teachers face when dropping off your child, to chatting with Coleen about your day. My wife and I couldn't be pleased to say our two children our attendees! The only drawback - they have too much fun and fight getting in the car at the end of the day.

I couldn’t imagine childcare without the New Albany Schoolhouse. My wife and I did an extensive search on daycare options for our 4 and 2 year olds and we actually were going to send them Primrose, but we had a feeling about the Schoolhouse and took a tour with Coleen (the owner). She is not only passionate about childcare and education, but also driven to provide the best environment for children to thrive in! We immediately enrolled our children and haven’t looked back since. There is an A+ staff that are genuinely interested and attentive to my children. Ms. Audrey, Ms. Staci, Ms. Lacie and all others on staff have my complete trust and I know they are providing the most nurturing environment for both of my kids. They love on them when they need love and they let me know how their day was every time I pick them up. They also do a great job keeping me in the loop if one of my kids fell on the playground, etc. Complete honesty and transparency!

Each day we are sent photos through the Procare app and find ourselves smiling every time because of the amazing things they get to do at school and how joyful they look. My 4 yr old has been on multiple field trips (Parks, Fire Station, Veterinary Clinic, Apple Farm) in the first 3 months and are always finding ways to keep things fun for the kids! For Example: on Election Day the kids got to vote for Mickey or Bluey and were even paid a visit by Bluey the same day! There was a pumpkin decorating contest in the Fall and have had many other themed days. They continue to find ways to keep the daily grind fun for the kids and also for the parents (especially with parents night out).

Do yourself a favor and look no further, enroll your kids at The New Albany Schoolhouse! The staff and school have continued to reassure me that this is the best possible place for my children to be at 5-days a week and continue to put me at ease, knowing that they are having a blast being there! Can’t say enough about this place.
