I’ve been attending for a couple months now and the gym is great! As a first timer I found it to be very welcoming and the instruction was some and to my level. I felt open to asking questions and getting extra help. The mats are always clean and everyone has been friendly. There is also a good emphasis on safety.

The Sweet Spot is the absolute best!! We cannot say enough good things about this place. Matt and all of the instructors are genuinely so kind and patient with our spastic little five year old daughter. She goes to jiu jitsu up to 4 times a week and they teach her the fundamentals and core moves but make it fun to keep young kids’ attention. It’s been the best thing we’ve found, love this place!!!

Our 5 daughter absolutely loves the Jiu Jitsu classes and goes several times a week. Matt and all of the instructors are so amazing and so good with the kids, they make it super fun while teaching them really good skills. Great hour of exercise and learning for the little ones.

The sweep spot is a fantastic gym with an amazing view. Matt is a passionate instructor with a breadth of knowledge and a teaching style that he frequently adjust depending on the students who are attending. I have learned more in the past year than I thought possible.

I dropped in at the Sweep Spot for 2 weeks during my visit to Lake Tahoe and had a wonderful time training there! Coach Matt does a great job providing opportunities for his students to challenge themselves with positional sparring and live rounds. I find this training style to be really great for beginner and advanced grapplers alike.

The gym is a very safe training environment, which is super important to me as a female grappler. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Tahoe!

We are visiting from out of town and were very excited to see that you can Walk in to the Sweep Spot! Matt was wonderful with my son and it was a great experience. They even had some loaner Gis for kids. We hope to visit a few more times before our vacation ends. If we lived here, I would have signed up for a monthly subscription immediately. They are great with kids.

Thank you Coach Matt for providing the best workout in Tahoe. You are an incredibly patient teacher and descriptive in the details of techniques. Dojo is clean and simplistic.

An excellent space to learn and improve BJJ knowledge. The BJJ knowledge gained during one session with Matt has given a sense of higher confidence in my BJJ skillset, thank you so much.
