I thought I'd been to all the best spots in Tuscaloosa when it comes to parks... This place truly felt magical. It felt peaceful and safe even hiking through trails. Lived here a long time and never heard of this place till I just looked at a map and decided why not. Spent 2 hours having an adventure and still could've done more. Please do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Recent infrastructure improvements are making a big difference. New entrance signage and new chairs and seating in the pavilion are a great upgrade. Trails need better signage and could be linked to longer walls they the old golf course.

Beautiful Magnolias

It was OK. Lot's of shade so that was nice. Not a great variety of trees or flora. Signage was weak. Backs up to a highly developed area so you're not exactly in the country. You take the same narrow road in that you take out. Can be problematic if you have a large vehicle and have opposing traffic. I would be careful with pets and young children because of the poison ivy/oak. Consider wearing pants not shorts.

An absolute gem. This is once of the best places to run in Tuscaloosa. Plenty of well manicured trails and pavement. Some fairly aggressive hills help add a level of difficulty to your runs. There is always plenty of parking. Plus there are public restrooms and a water fountain.
