My 11 year old son has been attending weekly semi-private classes here for about a month. He really enjoys it and looks forward to class. When I go to pick him up, he doesn’t want to leave. The instructor is awesome and really knows how to connect with kids.

My 11 year old daughter and 9 year old son goes to theCoderSchool in San Mateo. It’s been great because not only are they learning how to code, they don’t complain about going like they do with their other after school activities. This makes it easy for all of us.

Their former coding teacher, Joyce can guide them to think outside the box while still being relevant to solve the problem. Now, they have Alexander (whom our kids also like) encourages them to bring their imagination and creativity in their heads to life by utilizing their coding ability to build projects. They enjoy coming home sharing with me what they have done in class.

Their GM, John, has great knowledge about coding and is really great with pairing our kids with the right teacher. He’s very communicative and welcoming! Many thanks to everyone there!

We have had a great experience at the San Mateo location. The instructors are smart and friendly. Our kids are learning a lot and getting comfortable with code. And, perhaps most importantly, they look forward to each lesson. It's also worth noting that the school is very flexible with cancelations. Our kids have to miss class with some frequency due to travel or other conflicts, and there's no problem: the school simply reduces next month's bill to reflect the missed class.

Our son is enjoying his coding classes so much, he looks forward to it all week. We love that his instructor customizes his class for him, and seems to really enjoying teaching. The whole environment has a very positive atmosphere.

My oldest son started a coding class this year with his friend taught by Jonathan and he was having difficulty with the concepts- enough to want to quit! Upon communicating that, Jonathan and Olga immediately contacted us, gave us good advice and changed his class. Now he is taking the class at a different time, just with Jonathan, slower paced and understanding the concepts more. He really liked it better. My other son is doing coding with a friend. Once Jonathan and Olga introduced Minecraft coding he LOVES the class and both him and his friend look forward to it each week. They really tailor to the kids interested, needs and academic level. The virtual format is great! No more driving! I love their flexibility and their ability to relate to the kids. The private/ semi private classes are fantastic and my kids learn much more.

My son has been learning at San Mateo Coder school for a few years. They did in person group classes for 2 years and then took 1 year off. He is now doing remote codine 2:1 with his best friend once a week. He really likes the remote class and the semi- private custom class. We have been with Coder school since it opened in San Mateo and we love the services. Olga is excellent and fast with communication. The school hires really good teachers. And it has grown and adapted to the COVID changes well. I highly recommend it.
