Been here since July, and went in absolutely clueless. I’m about halfway through and already know so much and am a lot more comfortable with working on clients and getting the right result. The instructors are great and explain a lot, and make sure you understand the material. It’s easy to ask for one on one help, and get an individual experience. It’s a beginner friendly place, but once you do get comfortable, there’s a great deal of room to keep growing and experiment and really push yourself. There’s a lot to learn, and it’s hard to hit a wall. Great place to learn a lot of skills.

I’m a student at TIGI and I love it here. I truly feel like I have learned all the right techniques to make me master the art of being a hairstylist. I graduate in less than 2 months and I’m sad that my time here is coming to an end. The atmosphere here between the teachers, students and clients feels like one big family. I will never regret my decision to attend TIGI

The best hair school, hands-down. Although I’ve only been to this one, I don’t think another school could top TIGI in Guilford. Although I’ve heard TIGI Newtown is a pretty good spot too, TG Guilford is more close to home. It’s a smaller environment making it feel much more family like. I’ve never felt so welcomed by strangers I had just met. TIGI makes you feel comfortable in your own skin and TIGI also makes life feel like a party every day. I want to be an actress.

I visited TIGI for the first time this week, and I will be a regular client from now. I can't sing their praises enough! Lily, my stylist, was careful, methodical and checked with her trainers every step of the way to make sure my color and cut were completed to a fantastic standard. I don't know if she, or I, expected such an incredible end result. I can say without a doubt I've never had such an awesome color job and the cut is exactly what I wanted.
I have very long and thick auburn hair, which is time consuming to foil, but Lily rose to the challenge seamlessly and gave me a full head of teasylage, and it looks flawless.
I also got to witness other students cutting and styling other clients, and was so impressed with the dedication and care they all put in and the end results were all amazing. I fully recommend this salon, Lily, and the students and staff.

I’m really disappointed with my visit. I knew it was a risky move coming here for a balayage but I didn’t expect it to be handled so poorly. You can’t throw absolute beginners into certain jobs, whether it’s a school or not. My hair was completely destroyed yesterday. Developer sat on my hair for hours. There were random techniques used throughout which led to absolutely uneven color. I’ll have to go somewhere else and have them fix this. I see it’s a great option if you need an easy color or cut, but what happened yesterday wasn’t fair to both me and the student.
