Would have been 5 stars, but there were several places that were closed, like the reptile area and the polar bear area. Also, the zip line and railway were not running. That may have been because of how early it was in the season. But the animals were highly viewable and active, which is a plus for a Zoo! The indoor exhibits were very cool especially the frog sanctuary. The Natural history museum was very cool as well!

Absolutely beautiful and amazing!! We didn't even get to see everything unfortunately and were still in amazement and total captivation by all the beauty and diversity! Would 100% recommend, but make sure you get there as early as you can, because there is so much to see!

Great day at the Toledo Zoo even though some exhibits were closed (which is why I can’t give it 5 stars). It’s a walkable zoo with nice exhibits. The staff were helpful and friendly. Also bonus— ticket prices are half off if you’re a member at another zoo (i.e., Detroit Zoo).

This was such a cool zoo, and apparently one of the top 10 in the country. All of the enclosures were good size.
When we went, it was cold, so several animals were off exhibit, so it may be better to go to in warmer months. But, the animals that were out were much more active and/or close to viewing points.

I also loved the aquarium and natural history museums that were part of the zoo.

Great museum! They have a great collection of animals that will wow the kid inside of you. Our school had a program at the natural history museum and the presenters were amazing! Worth going often!

We are members at our home zoo, visiting Toledo Zoo while traveling. Layout was odd w tunnel- ramp under construction and lots of water in tunnel from recent rain. High admission prices and have to pay to park. Food was poor quality and high priced- $4 for 16oz can of coke, crunchy rice in $14.50 rice bowl, pizza was dry and full of spices. Kids wouldn't eat it. Brownies are huge for $4. Lots of things closed, but we are early in the season. We did enjoy the sea otters, the monkeys and the brown bears. Also the movement opportunities for kids w play areas and the neighborhood building were nice. Barnyard is way overpriced- $2 for one token which gets you a few food pebbles to feed the animals- not at all like other petting farms at other zoos/amusement parks. We came, we saw, it was ok, but we won't be going back.

The zoo and aquarium were nice. A lot of the exhibits were empty, which was sad. The kids seemed to enjoy the aquarium better than the zoo part. They all really enjoyed interacting with the stingrays.

Loved loved loved this place. The staff, the animals, the exhibits were all great. There was so much for the kids to do and the everything was priced great.

We went during a colder day and there were so many places to warm up. The cold weather animals were amazing to see so busy! The bears were active swimming and playing, something we don’t see often.

The natural history museum building was SO fun. We spent so much time on the zoo we missed the aquarium, but we will be back!
