I enjoyed working with NIU college staff. We created a very fun yet challenging learning experience for students. I used my experience as an RN to prepare students to pass their state exam as well as be competent in any healthcare facility. State Exam is held on campus. The school has a skill lab, a large classroom, and an accommodating break room. You will always be respected and welcome at NIU college. I will always be grateful to Dr. Jay who helped me develop into a professional and well balanced instructor. Thank You NIU! (:

I went here for HVAC. Don’t go here. Just get a job as an installer and work your way up. Or find a position as an apprentice
1. You don’t learn enough in the short amount of time. (I paid attention and looked up most of the stuff myself) still not good 2. It’s a rolling enrollment so new people come in all the time and it’s redundant, no one is learning the same thing at the same time, 1 teacher and no syllabus or idea what you’re learning. Ex. Mike’s first day of class, cool now everyone is going to go over first day things 3. It’s limited, there wasn’t even gas hooked up to the furnace in the room. It’s a trade skill and less than 50% was hands on 4. Most of the things you learn you can teach yourself on YouTube. And that’s what the teacher does., lots of YouTube videos. It’s kind of a push everyone though make sure they complete the course but that is extra detrimental because it’s a TRADE SKILL, the certificate is useless, being able to do the job is what matters. It’s not worth the money it costs.

Going into this program I didn’t know what to expect. However, my instructor Miss Denise has completely opened my mind to limitless opportunities this program can offer. she’s a great teacher and it’s not easy when you have a classroom full of adults it’s not possible to tend every student however she does such a great job, Making sure all students are caught up. Always reminding us constantly on what we are working towards. i’m so happy and grateful that I took this class and was able to meet her along with my fellow classmates. so whoever is reading this and is debating on taking the course. I definitely recommend you taking it and you asking to take the class with Miss Denise although Miss Sherry is a wonderful teacher as well.

I had a great experience at NIU College. During the program staff and faculty helped me in every possible way and the go extra miles to help the students. Not only you will learn the materials very well, but also they teach you hands on to make you understand everything. NIU College helped me for the national test and successfully passing the test. I am grateful for their help and wants every one to know that I am working in the field of HVAC and making a very good money. I will strongly recommend NIU College

I took the course for CNA recently and the instructor Sherri is a complete child. She complains that people don’t ask questions but mocks people who asks questions. She’s unprofessional, childish, and frankly behaves like she’s in high school. I took this course to help further my career and wish I had a better experience, but what we learn in the course is limited due to her encouraging questions then shaming the person who asked the question. Everything else about the program was great, but if I had to change one thing it would be Sherri. She is a complete gas lighting basket case on a power trip. She needs therapy.

I highly recommend this school if you’re thinking about getting into phlebotomy. The professor/instructor, Jaime Serna, was awesome, he answered any and all questions myself or the other students had. The staff is super helpful, Sam helped me with licensing portion and was great at communicating with me and always willing to walk me through everything.

I signed up for the course at the beginning of the pandemic so my class was done over zoom unfortunately when everything opened back up I returned to the job I had and left phlebotomy on the back burner, which brings me to the part that I will be the most grateful of I called the school about October 2021 asking if there was possibility to retake the course and Dr. Jay welcomed me back and I was able to come to the school and take the course again (in person). Hands down better for me as I prefer in person courses. All in all, I appreciate everything and I look forward to this next chapter in my life. Thank you NIU College!

I checked the reviews and they
Dont have enough seen the opportunity to study more the incentives I went and it was the worst experience with Miss Deniss, the lady is arrogant, you cannot ask her anything, she is an instructor, she only tells you to read the book and everything depends on you because she doesn't teach anything, I reported it to Dr Jey and nothing change after 2 days she threw a pen at a student and there was a shouting argument with the student in front of the class just because it was free I think he treats them like that but I think what if he had brought she chips She would have behaved better. The lady ate for 8 continuous hours.

I can say with confidence that I am delighted that I chose NIU College. The staff are amiable and always ready to help with any question. Dr. J. Askari takes excellent care of his students and his employees. I recommend this college because they take your education seriously. I currently take a Medical Assistant class and am very happy with my teacher. In general, the impressions of the training are positive: wonderful teachers, an accessible and engaging presentation of the material, a willingness to meet, support the student's position. Thanks to the teacher who teaches me that she explains the material we study in an accessible way. Thanks to Ms. Devine, I get a good knowledge of my future profession, support, and help during my studies. Thanks to the whole team for their work that makes the study enjoyable in good conditions.
