Worst 1st dance experience ever! The lack of communication on EVERYTHING is an huge problem. There is inconsistency with Tuition each month. We have had random charges, and over charged almost each month for 9 months. We were Refused reimbursement for cancelled classes when there was never any communication about the class being cancelled, and all the dancers showed up to class with no one there to open the doors to teach it! When brought to the owners attention there was always a bogus excuse and never a resolution. A perk of this studio was the TVs to watch the dancers practice, they didn’t even work for months. Where the parents wait for their child, It’s stiflingly hot with no fans to move air inside in the warmer months, and you literally freeze in the winter because of no heat. The handbook given at the beginning of the class, is different from the one the owner refers to. It’s a very poorly ran studio, I do not recommend this dance facility to anyone! Don’t waste your time or your money!

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at Turning Pointe Dance Academy. I will say my daughter did enjoy dancing and her teacher Miss Becca was very patient and kind with the kids. Communication was lacking regarding recital week and what to expect, especially being first timers who have zero knowledge about this from prior years like others did. Two classes were cancelled for weather so I should’ve received a $30 refund but the owner is convinced I was only charged for one of those classes and absolutely refuses to accept that she still owes me a refund of $15. The 2023/2024 dance season started Monday 8/14/23. My daughter did not register for classes until Tuesday 8/15/23. Classes for her age were on Mondays for $15/class. This means from my registration date of 8/15/23, there would’ve been 2 remaining classes for August: 8/21 and 8/28. 8/21 class was cancelled due to the heat. This means I should have only been charged $15 for the 8/28 class. But my total charged for August was $32 ($2 is a portal fee). I’ve tried many times to speak with the owner and show her proof of this and she refuses to acknowledge it. The way she treats people is not acceptable. There needs to be better accountability when it comes to billing and overall better management.

My daughter's dance teacher, Ms. Becca, was fantastic. She is very patient and loving with the children.
The rest of the experience was not great. Communication was a big issue all year. We paid through an app, and each month the classes (tumbling and tap/jazz/ballet) were called different things and we were charged different amounts. Mistakes happen, I totally understand that. However, when we questioned what was charged, we were either ignored or responded to defensively. One night we were supposed to have class, so we arrived and the doors were locked - evidently some people received an email or text right as class was supposed to be starting, I never received any communication from the studio that class was cancelled that night. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience.
