Our kid has been going to Tutoring Club of SF for almost a year and a half. In that time, we have seen tremendous growth in their learning skills, despite their learning challenges.

It all starts with an assessment and a conversation between your learner and Mr. A, which we were able to do remotely. The assessment informs a recommended learning path. In our situation, while I thought our kid only needed help with math, Mr. A recommended starting with reading comprehension. I was skeptical, but he stated that because of how math is taught today (i.e. lots of word problems), if we boost reading comprehension, math will follow. We went with his recommendation, and I saw a gradual improvement over the first 8 months in our kid's reading scores and homework independence. Then we added math sessions.

The results speak for themselves. Standardized test scores at the start of our kid's time with Tutoring Club had them about 2 grade levels *below* their grade for reading and math. Currently, our kid is testing at 2.5 grade levels above their current grade level for reading, and at current grade level for math. Our kid is now an honor roll kid. I spend **significantly** less time every night helping our kid through their homework. Our kid is more independent and confident, and enjoys school again. While I do believe this is in large part due to our kid's school teachers, I also credit Tutoring Club for giving our kid learning skills that enable independence, at their pace.

Thank you, Tutoring Club!

We enrolled our rising 2nd grader child in the reading (phonics based)/writing program at Tutoring Club on Irving Street the summer of 2023. He attends a language immersion program and had learning gaps in English. He attended 3-4 times during the summer but went down to the minimum required of 2 times a week during the school year. The are a small group program with a max of 3-4 kids per tutor. However, it's typically 2 kids per tutor depending on the time and day. Tutoring Club also has a points-based reward system that keeps them motivated. Overall, we were very pleased with our child's progress. He is now a much more confident decoder and reader. We never see him without a book. Thank you Mr. A and Mary Ann.

My daughter went to Tutoring Clun on Irving Street during her Junior and senior years at high school to improve her Math, English and also prepare for SAT. The improvements were remarkable, and she made tremendous progress. The staff are all very knowledgeable and super friendly. The session is one on one, and it provides a customer-made experience. Even though SAT is as crucial as it used to be, Math and English are essential for college admission. My daughter was accepted to Columbia and many UCs. She is now enrolled at UC Berkeley!

English is not my first language so I couldn't, help my son too much with his Math and English. Then after finding Tutoring Club they were very professional, they very quickly found my sons skill level with a few tests and got him set up with 1 on 1 tutoring in a very short amount of time. Schools have been lacking during the pandemic and Tutoring Club helped my son maintain his grades and helped him excel! Overall I would recommend this place! Customer support is also very fast and professional.

Tutoring Club was absolutely key in getting our son on track with his reading skills. He was way behind by the end of 2nd grade and is now completed his 5th grade 2nd semester with the highest honors. He does the on-line program and we love the flexibility to make sure his busy school / sports schedule is accommodated to while ensuring he gets the tutoring hours in he needs. Highly recommended!

My son studied here from the of age 5 to 7. He enjoyed the pace and meeting new friends. In 7th grade, he was invited to take the SAT with 12th graders. He scored in the 90th percentile nationwide. We believe the math practice they offered shaped his math study patterns and understanding of numbers. I highly recommend The Tutoring Club of SF. 📚

Our daughter started her Tutoring club since August 2015 when she was in the 7th grade for just a reading subject. At that time, she was really struggling in comprehensive reading and almost lost her confidence. Then after thriving with TC one year, with no doubt, she (my daughter herself) made her decision to go along with TC for her Math as well. Ever since, she has been staying with the TC for almost 4 years now, she is now in Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory and getting ready for the SAT test.

During the years, the TC program has not just strengthened her weakest subject - reading, but also further improved her advanced math skills. She successfully enrolled in the Honor algebra at SHC to start with her 9th grade. She is also getting help from the tutor in regards to the new subject - Chemistry. Now she got enrolled in her AP Chemistry for coming 11th grade. Three students with one tutor, patience with the encouragement are the special TC style. She currently is taking some practice SAT tests during the summer.

Mr. A is the best! Thank you!

My daughter has been going to SF Tutoring Club for 2 1/2 years now for math and she has made so much progress. We started her in 5th grade, when she was struggling in math class. She had so much trouble grasping concepts and teachers were so overwhelmed, it was difficult for her learn and keep up in the class. Now in 7th grade, she is ahead in her math class, having learned most of the 7th grade concepts months ago. She enjoys her weekly sessions, is more confident and is challenged by new math problems versus being intimidated by them. I have sent her to numerous math tutoring programs and this is the only one that has worked for her. It is amazing how confident she is now with her math skills. I absolutely recommend this place! Another positive is that she hasn't come to me asking for help on her math homework.
