I’m amazed of my experience from this school. Aniceta Petroni was my phlebotomy and EKG teacher. She made the class so exciting and I was so interested in what we were learning. I’m a mother of 5 I thought I would not be able to finish. She push me to motivated me each day I walk into that classroom. “You can do it” “listen to what I’m saying” She is amazing. And I’ve learned so much from her.

Valley Medical was definitely a great opportunity for me. I graduated from the Dental Assisting program and the instructor is very knowledgeable and worked at a good and steady pace for this accelerated program. The front desk was excellent with following up with me regarding job leads which is always a big help. Valley Medical has played a huge part in my success story and I would recommend this school for training to anyone who is ready for a career change. Going to Valley Medical has been one of my best decisions and I am very happy with the outcome.

I attended the 6 week dental assistant classes. It was a great experience considering the amount of information you have to learn in such a short amount of time. The front office was very helpful to me as I was pregnant at the time and was moving to NC after I completed the class. However, the instructor Anna did not teach us anything but tray set ups. She was EXTREMELY rude every single day. She talked about students behind their backs and accused them of stealing test answers out of her drawer, then smiled in their faces. She made me call my dr in front of the class to confirm I had an OB appointment because she assumed I was lying. She did not teach us basic principles of procedures we are supposed to perform as dental assistants. All she did the entire class time was sit in her chair and check to see if our trays were setup correctly. We were not taught the steps to assist in chair side procedures. We were only shown ONCE how to do X rays, how to take impressions, how to suction patients (how we were taught is not correct) and how to sterilize. Anna would act very annoyed when I didn’t do something right the very first time, even though I had never done it before in my life. She would not go over our tests with us and help us understand why we missed the questions we had incorrectly answered. She would not give us study tips and basically did not teach. I am currently a dental assistant and I am completely LOST when I help my dentist in very tedious procedures like crown preparations. If my dentist was not patient and enjoyed training me to help me do better I would be out of a job. I am currently studying for the DANB exams and I am missing pages of the outlines and study guides to help me pass. I am grateful I had the opportunity to get a certification in this field of work but unless you plan on teaching yourself everything during and after the class is completed, I suggest you not waste your money on Anna claiming to be a dental assistant and an instructor.

The instructor gossips and talks trash about students to other students while they aren't around. If a student asks to clarify something that the instructor made unclear, the instructor looses her patience rather quickly. During clinical the instructor did not give clear instructions and got frustrated because everyone was confused. If there is a problem, the instructor doesn't address it in a professional manner. The instructor treats people as if they are unintelligent. Maybe she is stressed due to her divorce she always talks about, but after being her student for four weeks I understand why she's divorced.
