My son loved Varsity Tutors. With 2 older siblings, who are already in college, we still hadn't found a great tutoring place. So it was like starting over for the third time. But this time, we nailed it! I only wish I knew about Varsity Tutors (or it existed) five years ago. To be honest, we tried so many tutors (yes- all the usual ones you can think of, plus more). Some of them are just mills and they really don't care about placing the right tutor with your child. Because I have four children, I know how important it is to individualize learning. Varsity tutors is the only place I found that truly cares about matching the student and tutor. On top of that, they constantly checked in to ensure that the tutor that we selected was effective. And yes- you do get to select the tutor. We had tried an online tutor app before that also let you choose, however the quality just wasn't there. PLUS, Varsity Tutors cost is right in the middle - good value. You might be able to save $10/hr somewhere else, but is that worth it, when they prescreen and get amazing tutors for you? Take it from a mom that has been through this - and I wish I could have gotten this advice - and I very rarely endorse a company like this - but I highly recommend Varsity Tutors. Super nice people. Excellent service. Excellent tutors. We had 2 tutors and both were great. And- the amount of time, they spend with you upfront is unbelievable. I spent at least an hour on the phone describing my son so they could match him with a tutor. And then I put my son on the phone for another hour. They are so patient and caring and truly want to deliver an exceptional service. THANK YOU Varsity Tutors! Oh - and of course they come to your home. I had to drive my daughter 20 min there and back for her tutor (and wait during the session) because she was so picky. Think of how much time I could have saved.
One final note: yes, my son has improved his score. He has everything he needs to get a great score. Of course, he has to study, but he knows exactly what to do and has a plan and support.

I joined Varsity Tutors as a tutor about a month ago, and I have only positive things to say about the organization thus far. There were multiple interviews conducted to ensure that I was properly qualified to tutor the subjects that I applied for, and the process of getting matched with potential students was very easy to pick up. The students that I've been matched with thus far are all eager to learn, and want to do well in the subjects that they are being tutored in. The process of logging each session is also very straightforward. Although it is a bit tedious to log every session with every student, it makes it easy for the tutor and student to look back and see what was covered during each session. I would recommend Varsity Tutors to anyone who wants to start tutoring!

My experience with Varsity Tutors has been GREAT! My tutor is very knowledgeable and works hard to understand what I've mastered and what I need to master. I am challenged to read, write, and speak Spanish every session and it has helped me tremendously. In addition, the Varsity Tutor Staff are very professional and Accommodating!

Varsity has been GREAT to me!! The descriptions are great, the service is great and any questions, concerns you have they will make sure they call you or email you back.

Any client issues they'll keep in touch with you over (payments, contract issues etc)

They do amazing work and they're all very nice people. Whenever you call up the person picking up the phone is always very nice and the online system is also very easy to use!!

I would definitely recommend Varsity to anyone wishing to tutor or get tutoring

we have used varsity tutors for this academic school year. My daughter had a tutor on line help her prepare for ISEE . this was a nice experience with virtual help. the tutor was reliable and also great wtih follow up. in addition Roger comes to our house once a week throughout the academic year to support her with math. He is very kind very reliable and easy to contact and follow up with. She is finding him extremely helpful.
the varsity tutor office is also responsive to needs and helpful. I recommend them and would consider using them in the future

I have used Varsity for two different tutors for my teenage son, both related to Writing but with different goals in mind. Both times I have been very impressed by their professionalism, skill, and flexibility. It has been pretty much a perfect match each time. Customer service is excellent. Very satisfied!

Varsity Tutors is convenient because the tutors come to your home. When shopping around, I found their pricing to be comparable, if not better than many of the other local tutoring businesses in the area. The tutors are experts in their subject and very patient. I am pleased with their services and the tutors are top notch. I would highly recommend Varsity Tutors.
