One of my favorite parks to visit. It is the most unique in the use of natural materials for picnics and children play equipment. Has great places to sit and eat/ read/ relax. The pavilion is a very beautiful structure overlooking the lake.

Nice little nature preserve. Main area is paved and has a unique play area for kids (not a traditional playground). There are restrooms and a handful of benches and picnic tables throughout the park. The trail to the boardwalk is gravel so it's a bit challenging with strollers or wagons. There are a few places to hang out along that path as well. The boardwalk itself doesn't have any railings. The cattails act as a natural barrier, but you'll want to keep little kids and leashed pets close so they don't fall off. The pier has a kayak launch for those adventurous enough to haul their kayak down the trail. Overall it's a nice area for a quick picnic or to enjoy some quiet time in nature.
