My experience with the Glendale Aviation Training Dept. proved quite farcical and filibustering. So much so, I made the conscious decision to resign my first day on the job after only 5-hours as an Aviation Instructor.

I attribute much of this to their "Human Resources" (HR), but not entirely. A very peculiar professional culture at play...

Now, I can't speak of any of the other vocational instructional centers associated with the WEST-MEC campuses, yet the Aviation (A&P sector) seems rather dubious and completely inconsistent with what I know of instructional development and professional acumen. Especially internally.

I wasn't willing to capitulate and stick around. Well over a year later, I haven't been issued payment for my services- although being told by "HR", in writing, that I would.

Campus is really nice... Financial aid is NOT available! Was told my son could attend, no money up front and payments start after you complete the program. Not the case! $1400 due up front and $350+ payments per month. Not feasible for most. I don't appreciate being mislead up until 6 days before class started. Needless to say, my son will not be attending this school.

Studied here as an AMT student. Walked away with my A and P, and a job. 10/10 Would recommend to anyone seeking a quality education, and a top-tier experience. Be warned, do your research and try to Shadow people in your desired field! These programs are by no means a walk in the park, and take a certain level of study skills and dedication. Good luck!

West Mec is incredible school that offers students from high schools to attend many different career choices such as Automotive, Heavy/Medium Duty Diesel, Medical, Aviation, Veterinarian.... the list goes on and keeps expanding!!!

West mec even offers adult learning classes now.

West mec is a extraordinary school for our future and change for our future.

Awesome teachers at this school! Especially in the computer coding. Best teacher yet mr Brett "Hans" mcmurdy. My son loves his class and it is awesome to be able get a certificate in coding while in high school.

Was treated with respect and the staff was very professional the whole way through. She walked me through every step of the way on what I need to do where to go the process and so on. The facility was very clean as well and she wiped down things as she went through. Good experience.

As I personally go to this campus, I absolutely hate this place. They are not on top of anything, disorganized and horrible at their jobs. I do not recommend going to this campus at all. I do however, recommend the other campuses because I have a lot of friends going to others around the valley.
