Great little airport with good fuel and aircraft rental prices. Finished my private pilots license with them and passed my checkride with flying colors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I’ve taken all my written exams there and would highly encourage other people to take their written there as well. 10/10 would recommend to other pilots.

I never want to leave negative feedback especially when the staff are not the problem.
I had to drive over an hour to this location to take an exam because it was the only one available. Upon arriving there was a gentleman out front to guide me to the proper building which was nice. Upon getting there it’s a very small building with an even smaller building in the back where you actually take the test. The lady was super friendly. Upon getting to the back I noticed I was testing with another person ( I wasn’t informed of ) also it was 28 degrees outside and there was no proper heating but she did turn on a heater for me but by the time I was done my toes were numb. After getting proper info and starting the test I proceed to hear gentlemen outside talking and starting up literal airplane crop dusters while testing. This went on and off throughout the testing period as the lady proceeded to walk in and out of the little room also while testing letting in even more cold air.
All I can say is I was very uncomfortable and very distracted during the whole testing period. As the staff was nice it was not a good testing location for me and resulted in a fail exam. It was very upsetting with all the effort/time put in and the drive. Hopefully I will be given a fair chance to test again in a proper testing location in the future.
( UPDATE ) so the date is now 2 weeks past the time I took the exam and tried to reschedule with NASM. As I should of been given some kind of compensation or my next exam should of had some kind of fees taken off but this location when asked by PSI lied and stated that nothing was happening during my test and everything was fine. I feel now I was wrong about the staff and if they just would have been honest I would have respect. You guys know that there was a lot of distraction throughout my test and it’s wrong you would not want to be honest when asked about it so I can move forward. So my review has been updated and now have nothing good to say about this location nor staff. Totally unacceptable testing site especially for a 120 question exam!

I had to go there to take testing. The National Ground Water Association required psi testing and Y City was the closest center. Valorie is such a wounderful lady and her husband was very friendly also. Just a Mom and Pop shop you get great service and accomidations. If I needed a plane serviced or wanted to learn to fly I would go to Y City. Just because they are down to earth and care about what they do ! Thank you and wish you the best. Ra Chel Thompson
