I have a 3yr old that I signed up for dance and it’s the first activity that she has ever been signed up to and all the parents of the dancers were so eager and happy to see their children practice but they do not tell you when you sign up that you can not watch your child practice at all from outside the door nor do they provide a television to watch them from the waiting area like they do for the older gymnastic class. The class is only 4 weeks long and it would have been special to be able to watch them. So sad and total waste of money.

Staff is very rude ! And they wont hesitate to send your child home for a so call fever of 99 degrees when in all reality that’s not a fever. Also I always pay for my child to not attend school on weeks they been sent home! The staff will scream in the lobby about your balance in the y so they can embarrass you. Parents do run in and out idk why a simple reminder is not implicated.

The YWCA is a gem in the New Britain community. Their "no judgement" fitness zone includes a gym, classes and private training. They also offer youth sports, dance, theater, and summer camp! Dedicated teachers make the preschool and childcare classes unbeatable.

I've been an all access pass member at the YWCA for almost three years. I love the fitness classes, trainers, environment, and all the other fitness members. I'm lucky to live so close to such a great gym. I recommend trying Pilates, Spin, Toning, Barre, or stability ball for a fun challenge. This gym is the reason I've been able to maintain my exercise and activity goals.
