We knew my daughter was struggling with reading but we had no idea because no one would tell us just how much she was struggling. Thankfully we finally had someone willing to say I think something more is going on besides just being a little behind. We knew she had adhd but had no idea she was also struggling with dyslexia. Even before she got an official diagnosed we got her into tutoring right away. We started last December with willamette dyslexia center and in just a few months of tutoring she went up a full grade level in reading. My daughter is incredibly intelligent but feels stupid because of her struggles with reading and writing. We continued her tutoring through the summer. She was feeling stupid and got frustrated and said she couldn't do what they wanted. The tutor changed tactics and was able to over come my daughters frustration and built confidence in her. School just started and my daughter has always loved going to school but I think to see her friends. It's always been a struggle to get her out of bed and ready for school. This year she so far is waking up before her older brother and is ready right away eager to go to school. I asked her if she was excited and she said yes. I also asked her is she was feeling better about herself. She also said yes. In less than a year her confidence has gone up so much. As a parent who wants the best for her kid I couldn't be happier. It's brings tears of joy and I owe it to hard work of the tutors and the work my daughter is putting in. My kids are my world and it's clear and obviously that everyone that works here is passionate and cares deeply about every kid seeking help.

WVDC is truly an amazing place full of tutors doing amazing work. I’m so happy I found them to help me assess and tutor my son for his dyslexia. My 8 year old has seen Leah for almost 2 years and she’s made such great progress with him. My 5 year old saw how much fun her was having at his sessions, so she begged me to start too. Over the summer she started tutoring with Heather- who was also amazing! Lynn runs a fantastic center. It’s clear that she is invested in every parent and child that walks through that door. We’ve spent the last 2 years commuting almost 1 hour, 2x a week so my kids could come here and it was worth every minute.

One of our children was diagnosed with dyslexia a year ago. We were lucky and caught it early. We’ve been supplementing leaning with two hours a week with Ms. Beth and she is awesome. We saw improvement with our daughter’s reading and math scores within one grading period.

Thank you, Ms. Beth!

My daughter has been going to WVDV for going on two years. The growth she's shown has been astounding. The staff is dedicated and their true passion for their jobs is obvious. They were able to help us get a formal diagnosis for our girl, as well as navigate some difficulties with the school district. I'd recommend them to anyone!

We have been seeing our tutor Sasha for 3 months now and absolutely love her. Sasha is a perfect fit for my daughter.
She has gained so much confidence and has improved her reading skills. Her school has even noticed her improvement. Thank you for all you do.

My boy had trouble with reading pretty much since kindergarten, and each year he fell further and further behind no matter what I did.

Finally, I found the Willamette Valley Dyslexia Center! Stepping foot into the center was like finding water after a long drought. Each of the tutors there KNOW dyslexia, and they are all fabulous! My son loves it there. I don’t have to fight him to go because he has such a good relationship with his tutors.

Within just a year and a half of dyslexia tutoring at the center he’s reading at grade level. And the best part of all is seeing his confidence increase so much. Before dyslexia tutoring he hated reading, now I find him reading chapter books!

Seriously, if you have a child with dyslexia DON’T WAIT! I wish I had found the center and gotten started right away. It would have saved me (and my son) years of tears.
